Typical Game store, if you're looking for a new game go here, almost no queues and never crowded, probably due to it being out the shopping centres. Bit lacking in the second hand stock though. read more

They have pretty much everything, it would seem. They are a fairly decent sized shop, and very well stocked, so if there's anything you want they probably have it or can get hold of it for you.
A wonderful little haven for retro gamers of all stripes in Liverpool. I'm sure all the reviews…read morebelow this one have already gone on about the ever-lovely Lucy, the nifty loyalty scheme, the in-store gaming competitions, and the whole Facebook integration concept that helps the shop stand out above all the rest, even in Liverpool which has (and has had) a myriad of great gaming shops over the years. Indeed, let's hope that Level Up continues along its current course of becoming the spiritual successor to the sadly-deceased Chip Shop 2000 (except with actual fair prices and slightly less snarky staff). Keep up the great work!

This shop has been open for donkeys years and has diversified lots over the years! The owner of the…read moreshop is a really lovely and friendly man who can't do enough to help you. He is a legend in his own right in Greasby! They rent DVDs, computer games, sell clothes, do photocopying, sell sweets, crisps etc. everything to keep them in business since DVDs became so cheap to buy online, but they are surviving and have great offers like 3 DVDs for £5 for 2 or 3 nights which is a decent deal by anyones standards. Great little shop which you can park right outside of!

Excellent customer service, so much so I've cancelled my Lovefilm account as I feel there is nothing like going to a bricks and mortar local business and talking movies with a REAL people. Cheap DVD rental (only £2.50) and all the latest films, I can't recommend Snips Movies highly enough.
This is a fab original little bookshop fighting against the likes of Waterstones and Blackwells. I…read moremean, it's not actually fighting those giants, but you know what I mean. If you've seen You've Got Mail you know what I mean. This is a proper bookshop. Books are crammed onto rickety-looking shelves and span all kinds of categories. They buy as well as sell books, so you can get yourself a good swop-shop thing going on if you're savvy enough. Obviously, you've got to have some spare time on your hands to browse through everything, but it's well worth it as this is one of the few remaining old fashioned book stores in the city centre, and you can find some real gems. Also worth a look from an academic point of view - being near the university campuses means you can get some bargains as far as uni reading goes.
It's good because it sells a lot of books cheaply but my enthusiasm for little quaint second hand…read morebookshops has worn a little thin mainly because the owners al seem to be sociopaths or misanthropes. Too harsh? Maybe, it could just be the case that put end to end and the hours sat alone with only books for company probably add up to years, either that or books give off some sort of toxic fumes that effect the central nervous system. Still there are lots of books here so if books are what you're after then why not take a few minutes to see if there's anything amongst the second hand stock - and therefore tick your little green eco box for the day to boot - and you may just come across some thing you'd never thought of picking up .
