Unlike a few other CeX stores in Merseyside, this one has a decent selection of games for older consoles and for reasonable prices. The shop is very small and generally not too busy. During holidays it'll usually be a little bit busier, but that's to be expected when everybody's off school. The staff here are very nice and helpful, I don't think I've ever had to wait too long to be served here as the queues are typically very short. I wouldn't recommend selling to CeX in general (like many people have said elsewhere), because they're known for offering an incredibly small amount of money for what you're trying to sell and then selling it off for a lot more.

There are also a number of similar shops 'Game and Gamestation' on the High Street so always worth comparing prices as they are all a short walk between each other. This is either when purchasing new games or trading in unwanted games as this shop offers. This shop offers everythinh you would expect, all different games consoles which are clearly labelled and put into different sections. The store moved in the last couple of years from where it was on the High Street just around the corner. Well worth a visit if you are planning to buy or trade in some games.

You can also choose to rent some items if you live locally. The shop is well decorated with large statues of a few video gaming mascots scattered around and the walls are covered with gaming posters. The shop floor is pretty big and is always well stocked so expect to loose a lot of time browsing all the items and chatting with fellow fans.

Situated on the main High street opposite the entrance to the White Rose Shopping Precint. It is of a good size and everything is displayed well with the games in the various sections for the different consoles. There is also a section for the latest offers/deals and they also have a section for used games which are a slightly lower price. They also offer you the opportunity to trade in unwanted games for cash or trade in value if you are planning on getting a new game. You also have the option of a reward card which allows you to build up your points with each buy. The staff have always been very helpful to me, for example informing me that one game was not suitable for my son because of the language it contains which resulted in them losing a sale.

The variety of the stock is greater than any other GAME in the region and this means it's the best place to go for games.

This branch of Game seems to have had overwhelmingly positive reviews since it was first reviewed…read more(and last reviewed) in 2010, which is great but sadly they seem to have slacked as over 6 years since this place was last reviewed, it seemed to have gone down-hill by a dramatic amount. This store has the decor of a former Game store, after the merger with Gamestation where both brands were later taken over and converted under the one name - Game. One thing which frustrated me about the store is the size, it was so small and is even smaller than other branches in much smaller cities such as Blackburn or Bolton, or even the Manchester Fort, which certainly is really bad for a big city like Liverpool, and there only branch as I recall. This branch is close to Mcdonald's, CEX and Ed's Diner in the Liverpool One and is classed as Lord Street. The store was so busy on my visit, despite being 8 days until Christmas how everything was dealt with was unacceptable, it was hard and you had to fight just to see a game, let alone pick it up making it near enough impossible, to get through the store and then look at what's on offer. I asked a member of staff whether they stocked a certain item, he told me yes after he went to check, he put it aside for me, but he has to keep going back to check certain things such as the price and the stock, and he took his time too, eventually I was just deciding to walk away as he had took so long, but he cam back asking for a price which was £7 more than the offer at Tesco and Amazon and £0.99 more than ASDA, which shows that Game offer high end pricing and pass them off as a good deal, they're certainly not a high-end store to warrant that, especially how it felt like a safe haven in a warzone because it was so small and crowded which are the main reasons this store is one to be avoided, rather than to go to, it just doesn't do well with crowds hence deserves a single one star.

The majority of games and consoles are a standard high street price but if you're on a budget, they do have pre-owned games too (these obviously tend to be a bit older) but are still in good working condition and usually ones in-demand. Plus, if you have any unwanted games or consoles, you can trade-in for cash or exchange. I once traded in an XBOX360 and received about 60% cash value of the price I originally bought it. And I chose to trade-in at Game because the cash amount was substantially more than competitive stores such as CeX and Cash Converters. Game at Liverpool One is a shop that has dedicated and knowledgeable staff to assist you. It is easy to see why Game is the UK's number one leading games retailer.

This is quite a big Game store too, with queues down the road when new consoles and sequels to popular games are released, release parties and a wealth of stock. My only criticism on the Game stores are the little time that they give to trade ins, pre owned games and retro consoles and games. Seeming to drop an old console along with all its games as soon as another new one comes about! But still, if you're looking for a new games console, a console accessory or a game, look no further as these get all the latest releases on their day of release! The staff are all very knowledgeable and the place is very friendly! They also offer great discounts on chart titles and consoles if you decide to trade in a fairly recent game or a console that's in good condition!

The staff did seem friendly and helpful. My check out experience was quick, and unlike some other small newsagents, they didn't have a problem giving me a receipt. Pricing was competitive in most areas, but some essentials such as milk were a tad overpriced. Many of the items which were priced at a competitive rate, had to be as many of the branded items had prices on the label which is what some brands do to protect their pricing strategy. There are no parcel facilities here which is surprising but there are other choices for this around Warrington such as Royal Mail at WHSmith, DPD at Millets, myHermes at Great Outdoors and Collect+ at the Golden Square Information area. Useful store to have in Warrington if you don't fancy going to the larger ASDA supermarket nearby. 3*
