So the hotel tells us a good place to eat and after eating we wanted to enjoy some good German beer so our waitress directs us to this bar and I'm glad she did. We had the best time here. Rosie is the bar tender and owns the place and she is a great person. We ended up meeting some folks from Koln and ended up hanging out with them for several days and are still friends and keep in contact still. The beer is great and the atmosphere along with all German people.

First of all, the Dartmoor Inn is what its name hints at - an English pub where you can also play dart in the back yard/room. But that is not why I came here - we were looking for a place to have some burgers, and luckily that is exactly what makes this place so fantastic: the burgers! The staff is pretty cool and relaxed, the location itself is a bit dark and gloomy (exactly what a pub should be like!), and there are books everywhere - and I mean everywhere! We even got to talk to the owner for a while about the bar made almost entirely out of books - it looked fantastic! I needed to know how I could build one like that for my one place! For a bookworm like me this place is heaven. Right next to our table, on the window sill, were books ranging from classics by Goethe to modern fantasy books... But seriously now, the burgers were fantastic! First of all, there are so many burgers to chose from, some classic ones and some more exotic. I tried the "Chicken Run" Burger and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was of great quality, the burger bun could've been a bit less soft, but all in all it just tasted really great! The only less perfect thing were the chips - they were obviously the frozen ones you buy at Metro or Selgros, those could definitely be better! But all in all I was positively surprised how great this place was. I'll definitely be back - to try one of the other burgers (or read)!
