We were on vacation (holiday) before Easter and loved what was in the window. So we stopped in midday for some small bites. The next morning we decided to go back for the pastries and coffee......it was so good we went back the next 2 mornings. The service was quick and polite.

I can't attest to much other than the aperitivo, but that drink was STRONG. Granted I'm not much of a drinker and only took down about a fourth, but it was quite pretty and refreshing. The aperitivo food was beautiful and like little exquisite amuse bouche or petit fours, but honestly they were more for looks than anything. Quite bready and not super well done. My friend did get their wild strawberry tart the day before and raved about it. Possible that the desserts are better than the aperitivo but I didn't have the room to try it all.

This place was awesome. 112 yrs in business and it certainly delivers in every way; quality and service. We stopped in here for pre dinner drinks and ended up staying for 2 hours. Our waiter was fantastico! molto attento! Drinks are great and the appetizers free if you order a drink.. Bellissimo! And so close to everything. Definitely a great stop.

There's just something about old world opulence and great coffee and pastries. This place has been doing it since 1907 and is a far refreshing cry from your commercial so called coffee shop in the US. Cappuccino was sublime and the service was even better. Smack dab in the city center makes it very easy to visit.

I just went for the apertivo and it was fantastic! For just €6, I received a glass of Prosecco and so many delicious little appetizers that I was blown away. They had little roses made of ham and mozzarella, and they had little bite sized sandwiches and fruit and it was all delicious. I wish I had known about this place on my first night in Bologna.

Great spot right off Ugo Bassi, which is sort of the main strip in this part of town. Perfect place to have un caffe and any one (or two..) of the many delicious pastries they offer. Just try walking by their window displays and not heading immediately inside!

Next time, I am going to make sure I have a kitchen so that I can partake of these amazing offerings like the spinach and pork ravioli, the pumpkin and meat tortellini and their tagliatelle. Basically, give me some of everything here. The shop workers were very patient as I investigated every item in the store. It's very close to the main Piazza, so stumbling upon the shop was easy.

The old-fashioned beautiful display reminded me of the winter holidays and enticed me to go in and try something. I decided to buy some sweet rice cake which was charged by the weight. Forgot exactly what is was called " Torta di Riso" but was something di riso as it has rice baked in it and was simply rich and delicious. They also have the famous certosino. it's a traditional Bolognese cake, which is also sort of like a western fruit cake with honey, candied fruit, stewed fruit, jam, almonds, pine nuts, cocoa powder, dark chocolate and wine syrup. The cake was not cheap but was so delicious and memorable that I vow to return when I visit Bologna again.
