They have a good variety of tools and seeds, a wide range of pots of different quality and the usual assortment of garden ornaments. I was sorely tempted by the water-features, until I looked at the price labels! The cafe is quite spacious and has a terrace of about half the size again. The only problem is that I think £1.45 for a pot of tea or £2.25 for a capaccino is expensive. I did have a wonderful Ice-cream Sundae with 3 flavours chosen from 14(see photo)for £.3.50.

They have a large selection of your usual garden plants and a great selection of garden furniture. This would be my first stop if I needed anything for the garden because the quality and price are right. We bought a great garden bench there last year and it only cost £60 plus they delivered it for us. In addition to furniture they also have tons of items for your garden wildlife and a huge selection of bird tables, food, stands, feeders etc. They also stock garden ornaments from small to large. In addition to your usual wares they have a cafe, gift shop and a bathroom and kitchen showroom! Perfect for a trip of a weekend. The staff are always nice too which is a bonus.

I had expected a basic…read moregarden centre full of pots and plants and little else, but this place is full of high-quality beautiful gifts: china, glass, ornaments, homewares, books, jewellery and so much more! There is a gorgeous cafe as well my husband and I had lunch there and everything was so fresh and delicious (especially the most glorious cream cakes imaginable!!!). We bought some treats to bring home as well from the chilled cabinet, including Findlater's vegetable pate (something you can't find easily elsewhere). Of course, there are plenty of gardening tools, accessories and beautiful plants for sale, both for indoors and the garden. The staff are very helpful too. We asked for a couple of plants we couldn't find and the assistant insisted on phoning someone to see if they could track them down for us. It's found on the Ayr road going a few miles out of Kilmarnock, and there's a large car park at the front. (I'm sure it won't be long until we go over there again!)
