It is now June. My baby is afraid of the pool. Sees other kids going to swim lessons and asks if we're going to make him go back to that place and no refund. I don't know what I expected from a place that was so rude and wouldn't suspend my account when I was paralyzed from the neck down in a hospital 2 hrs away. I registered my grandson for preschool swim lessons. I registered him for intermediate instead of beginner so the Aquatics Director, Megan Morgan told my daughter(she's the one that took me grandson) that she would leave it up to the teacher. The teacher allowed him in. Great. He's excited he loves the water and wants to swim. Within minutes of class starting my daughter starts texting me. She said there were 2 kids in class that were acting up the teacher didn't get them under control. One of them stepped on my grandson so he started crying. The teacher picked him up for about 1.5min then put him back in the water between the 2 kids. She then told the kids to put there faces under the water to blow bubbles and bc he was smaller and BETWEEN the 2 kids he got choked not even having put his face under water. At this point he's screaming and coughing and the teacher is ignoring him while he's hanging on the wall. My daughter went and took him out of the pool got him dressed and left. This is a child that rarely cries when he gets hurt. Later that evening he asked his mom several times to please never make him go back. So in the span of 25min we went from having an excited water loving 3yr old to a terrified 3yr old that has had nightmares since. I left a message the next day for Ms. Morgan outlining everything and asking for a refund. I still have not heard back. I called the morning of 3/25/25. #chrisbryant #ymcaceo

This is the ONLY gymnastics facility in Columbus so quite naturally there is no other place for…read moreyour kids to go. Facilities: open concept with stadium seating for parents. Parents are allowed to openly view the classes. (5 stars) Refreshments can be purchased. Pricing is reasonable. Drink machines available also. The popcorn is a big hit. This is a nice touch. Restrooms: there is a high volume of usage so there are not as clean as they could be. One of he stalls is designated for the little people. The small toilet is a nice touch. There are curtained changing areas available. There is only ONE water fountain so get in line. Classes: There are a lot of classes offered however due to this being the ONLY facility in town they fill up fast. In my opinion there are TOO MANY kids (6-8 per) in the smaller kids classes (ages 5 and below). With all their energy the "coach" only has two eye and unfortunate they only Look one way at a time and they aren't located in the back of their heads. Classes are ONLY held Monday thru Thurs with one class on Friday evening. If they had classes on Saturday I'm sure the overflow would even out. But they are the only gym in town so I guess they do whatever they want. BOO! When classes dismiss it is a nightmare. If you are cloister phobic or don't like crowds watch out. Too many people gathered at the door. It seems like a fire hazard. The "coaches" do not do a very good job of directing traffic at the door. Front desk staff: there is a young lady at the front desk who's mannerisms are hit or miss. It's all depends on the day I guess. Sometimes she's nice and other tins she treats you like you are a pain in her butt! Not a southern belle that's for sure. There is a gentleman who's at the desk and he seems ok but avoids interaction with parents/patrons. Registration and Payment: there is no electronic registration. Everything is done on paper. No electronic payment either. This is 2016 and they want me to bring a check or cash. I don't carry either one so this should be interesting. Gym Store: They offer a wide variety to leotards for purchase ($35-40). Bring cash. Overall this has potential to be a great gym. They could definitely make the classes smaller to give the smaller kids the attention they need instead of rushing thru the classes and the kids are standing around waiting on the coaches to instruct them or even hurt themselves. My daughter fell last week and the coach didn't even see that she hurt herself. I'd pay more per month to get more coaches (eyes) on the floor for better instruction. Lastly, there is FREE WIFI. I'm sure everyone enjoys that. Personally I like watching my kid but for those that troll the Internet constantly this is definitely a perk.

The first issue was with my membership - they charged me for roughly two months, and then begrudgingly finally gave me a refund after I called incessantly. Now, the issue is my husband's membership - I have called dozens of times, only to be told the "manager will handle it later" (which, shocker - he never does!). 9/10 times when I call, an incompetent teenager picks up and clearly has no idea how to handle the situation (nor has the "power" to). Multiple staff members have acknowledged that I did in fact come in person to cancel both of our memberships in MARCH (it's now mid-July, mind you), but no one has cared enough to stop the charges. They know full well that we are no longer able to come in-person to demand this be rectified due to the fact that we moved out of state. I'm sure they would continue to take our money indefinitely if they could - luckily I have already requested a stop charge from USAA. As the customer, *I* should not have to be the one remembering to call back dozens of times over FIVE months to try to get MY money back. As a fellow business owner, I cannot even imagine treating customers so abhorrently. Disgusting and unprofessional. 0/10 would not recommend signing up for this gym if you are a military family or anticipate ever needing to cancel your membership. We were members for two years, and if I could somehow get every penny we gave to this shitty gym back, I would do it in a heartbeat. Before this all took place, I often recommended Crunch to friends. I will never recommend this gym to anyone again. Additionally, I will be escalating this to the BBB and AG as a) Crunch had FIVE whole months to rectify this, and *chose* not to, and b) I am clearly not the only person who has had this issue.

What a gem! I was in…read moretown visiting family and we decided to get our bodies moving with a friendly game of pickelball. The Opelika SportsPlex has got it all! Wowza. There's an indoor pool, outdoor pool, hot tub, splash pad, steam rooms, a weight room, gym, indoor track, an outdoor trail, disk golf, raquetball courts, soccer fields, and most darn impressive pickleball facility I have ever seen. I live in Iowa-- I have never seen something like his. There are about 24 courts that are Individually fenced and completely covered. We had a blast! Talk about amazing free entertainment. They even have lights available for night play! Parking is a non-issue. Bathrooms are accessible. 10/10 would recommend! What a fabulous community resource.
