I also wanted to check out the selection to see what kinds of stouts were on offer. The helpful employee and I made beer-related small talk, and he had several helpful suggestions. When I let him know I'm lactose intolerant, he took the time to check if there was lactose in one of the stouts for me. Sadly, turns out there was so I wasn't able to sample a peanut butter imperial, but I left with a smoked porter and a gingerbread stout, after some pleasant conversation and perusing. Too bad the tap system is no longer functioning or I might have stayed for a cold one. A visit here is recommended!

Beers are segmented by flavor profile, along with "Fancy Shit," a highlighted section of bottles. Also available on site is a draft growler fill area for takeaway. Philip and Brent each walked me through a large variety of local options, as well as several other continental offerings. Prices range from ~€2.90 and up, so you can make your own six-pack without overspending. Growler fills were in the ~€8-10 range. Give them a try - they're sure to please!

Every time I can't help but to notice the uniquely shaped bottles of liquor in the shape of a shoe, car or gun on display. The bottles aren't exactly the typical brands but they have those also. Inside is warm and inviting. The wooden shelves that hold the bottles and handful of kegs of liquor give the old world touch, it reminds me of the charm of much of Amsterdam's old pubs. I am just looking around but I already know what I want. The lady who is managing the store is talking on the phone but when she saw me come in, she got off and took the time to address my inquiries. She was so pleasant. I apologized for intruding on her conversation and with a smile she said no problem. She explained the different versions of Absinthe, as that was I was in the market for here. Grabbed a bottle for 20euros as a gift. There are larger bottles that are pricier. Packaging is just paper, nothing fancy. For this business in term of it's age, friendly staff and uniqueness, I walked away with something I can give that is not run of the mill.

Finally a young lady server just started her shift and she took our order. The guy that was at the bar didn't even gave us the menu when he's just talking to another young guy. They made us feel they don't want to serve us. The sandwiches we ordered were good but we only ate half of it. when we asked for our leftovers to be taken home, they literally put them in a plastic bag. Like a doggie bag Gosh, I hope the owners know they're paying their servers just to chit chat and ignore customers. Also, this place doesn't have any restrooms - you have to go the public restroom and pay $1 with a credit card

They serve a very limited menu. I had the ham sandwich. The bread was delicious, and I really liked the honey mustard mayonnaise. However, it wasn't super filling, and I wish it came with a side other than soup. The service was extremely slow. We waited forever for them to take our order and then forever for them to let us pay. For the limited menu and poor service, I wouldn't recommend this place.
