She will also make you feel stupid. As an employee she is not a a team player. Her and Robyn, the manager, are buddy buddy and don't really work. Mel has been sent to the back due to the fact she is rude to patients at the front. Mel will also charge you a copay or balance even though you have a credit on your account she will tell you it's not valid or that you don't have one. She will not help out her other coworkers and will let them drown in work. Mel is also high 100% of the time at work. If you do happens to be at the Santa Maria office and need help, Crystal and Sam are your go to people !! They are so sweet and kind. they really care for patients and want you to have the best experience there. Unfortunately due to the rest of the staff it's hard for them. The doctors will even want to talk to Crystal before talking to Robyn because they know Crystal will get it done and Robyn will not. Sam is an angel. She does the urine samples. OH and Cathy-head of HR she will ignore you to the max lol. She does NOT care about the patients or anything. she is there for the money and to go home. She treats the employees horribly. she treats the managers horribly as well. ALSO for the SLO office, if they call you the day before your appointment to collect your copay or balance and you don't answer, they will just cancel the appointment without giving you a chance to call back. And then they will tell you it's your fault you missed the appointment even though you didn't even get a chance to call back. And again Carla is lompoc is an angel and deserves the world:) The doctors do care and want you to have the best experience possible. They care that they are helping you and want to beat results possible.

They had agreed to the appointment and then 2 weeks later, the day before the appointment they canceled. We called to ask why and they were being very shady. Making excuses. It was almost as if they were scared of something. I've heard plenty of rumors that certain doctors talk to each other and I feel like this was one of those situations. I'm guessing Dr. Moelleken didn't want to "step on anybody's toes." Don't waste your time with them.

But I can't give them such a good rating now! Their service has really gone downhill from the standpoint of dependability on follow through. This also applies at least in part to the Santa Barbara surgery center. Their attentiveness and attention to details now leaves a good deal to be desired as compared with years past. Not exactly what I term very "Professional." It's like their plate is overly full. I'm in hopes something will be done to raise their standards back to what it previously was!! It's needed!

Not someone who prescribes things to mask the symptoms and calls it good. Creative, smart, best doctor ever, best I've ever felt since diagnosed with several issues including several problems related to a genetic disorder that caused severe nerve pain, it takes real skill to help when someone is this bad and has been for a long time. Uncovered severe deficiencies and very low cortisol levels which could have been life threatening. Very careful and conscientious, expect to bring spouse or family member for visits as they want this so they get best picture of what's happening. This is a precaution I feel protects both doctor and patient, and helps prevent misuse, miscommunications, and other problems, and I'm glad. Never had anyone make more of a effort, they research constantly and are always looking out for smallest things that may help and they share them. Truly feel I wouldn't be able to cope if I hadn't found this clinic! I'd go anywhere however far for treatment this amazing, God bless this clinic!

The fact that it is a pain management office so no one would take anyone seriously is what keeps me…read moreand I'm sure everyone else from filing a medical malpractice claim. Dr. Kuang is a meek sad little manchild that hides behind his staff that do the dirty work and clean up his messes. I was a patient for 4 years and never had consistent care because they cycled me through a different NP every couple of months. And every new NP had a different plan for me. I was finally pressured into injections and reluctantly agreed because if I didn't, they would no longer give me my medication. Which honestly , was the one thing that worked for me as long as I didn't take it daily. They changed my medication and then drug tested me and saw my old medication on my drug test so they marked me as abusing my meds and threatened to cancel me as a patient. Another drug test showed nothing in my system because again, I wasn't trying to be hooked on it so I didn't take it daily so they accused me of abusing my medication .They never respond when you leave several messages and treat you like a drug seeker or addict from day one. No matter what your situation is. They are not healthcare workers and doctors. They have no empathy or care for the patients they are supposed to be helping. They redefined their job to keep getting more money by bringing in more patients and then removing the ones that won't follow their rules and keeping the ones that agree to everything. They don't want you to informed. They want you to be compliant. I was talked into a second round of injections and this time, I couldn't walk directly after. They wheeled me out of the office so fast after anesthesia and then refused to answer my calls and questions until my follow up appointment 2 weeks later. I still had shooting pain down my legs and was in more pain than when I originally went in. When I finally had my appointment, it wasn't even with the doctor. It was with the nasty, rude, pathetic NP, Erika, that knew nothing about me or my case. She got on the call and immediately started grilling me until she got a negative reaction so she could have an excuse to drop me as a patient . She refused to refill my medication or let me speak with my doctor until I came to do a drug test within 2 hours which, I could not....I have a full time job working with special needs kids that I cannot just leave. So she hung up on me. And dropped me as a patient. I had to go to the office on my day off to find out that they would no longer see me as a patient and that they could call the police if they had to. WILD. There are so many additional things that I personally dealt with, but please, take a few minutes and read through other patients reviews. They are all accurate. We have all been treated like shit for being in pain. And unfortunately, taking any pain doctor to court will just result in being called a drug seeker and losing our money. And the drs. all know this. so they continue to treat people like crap becausej they can. If you feel like you wanna call a lawyer, do it!
