This place was beautiful! Though my family I didn't purchase anything the lady was so kind and offered my children some flowers. There were beautiful houseplants and the selection of arrangements were a great price and there were very unique arrangements as well. I also loved the home section and its offerings. Will come back when in Billings and recommend to anyone looking for a great gift and/or nice houseplants. read more

Zane was wonderful and helped my daughter choose just the right flowers for her wedding. My daughter loved how the flowers turned out and they all really added to the day! The set-up crew onsite went above and beyond, actually attaching bouquets to the poles in the barn in exactly the right places and way to make them the finishing touch that made the ceremony magical! Thank you! read more

I live in CA and wanted to send condolence flowers after my sister's death. I was impressed that I was able to submit an order online on Saturday afternoon for a Saturday delivery. The arrangement was beautiful and meant a lot to the family that received it. The price for this arrangement seemed reasonable and I appreciated that. read more

Gainan's Midtown Flowers - Florists Near Me - Billings, Montana

Interesting that the rating of this place isn't higher. I live in Billings part time and I would love to have a place as nice/fun/efficient for flowers and gifts as Gainan's Midtown. Yesterday my wife was in town with me and I wanted to create an amazing date night. I ordered a dozen roses online and picked them up at the shop. 1. They were beautiful. Gorgeous roses and a perfect arrangement. 2. Ready right on time. 3. The price was more than reasonable. Couldn't touch this quality in LA (my other home) for anytime close to what I paid in Billings. Not to mention the quality of the roses and arrangement was likely better than I would have received without question. So 5+ stars all day. read more

I sent flowers to my mom for her birthday and I gave thw wrong delivery address. The delivery driver had to call me three times because I couldnt remember the house number he was kind and patient with me. The flowers and candle were a hit! Thank you!! read more

I can't begin to express my gratitude for Gainan's. After several attempts to put centerpieces (7 tables) together for my annual Christmas party, I found myself four days before the event with nothing. I visited Gainans hoping for ideas. Jim the owner patiently took time out to help me for 45 minutes. I ended up with 7 beautiful White Christmas centerpieces only to call the next morning freaking out because they wouldn't go with my white tablecloths. I called and spoke with Traci Z. who immediately noticed my "extreme" distress and her first concern was me and my condition. I ended up with 7 of the Montana Evergreen centerpiece with match my theme perfectly. (without breaking my budget) No matter what the occasion or circumstances you can count on Gainan's handling it with the upmost compassion and care finding you the perfect arrangement that will leave you feeling beautiful as the flowers they deliver. Thank you - Jim,Traci and Nancy read more

It's okay. That's about all I can say. If you're looking for things to accompany flowers or plants, need some home decor items or gifts, or generally just like to explore, Gainan's is fine. While I walked around the main part of the store, I was surprised with the different kinds of items: all nice, some fun, others cute, some useful. Although impressed with that, I was disappointed in the selection of fresh flowers -- the kind purchased individually rather than ready-made arrangements. What flowers were available, were beautiful, but the selection was minimal. Perhaps it was my timing during the week and before the holidays, but I found a better selection next door. What really drives me crazy in stores are those times when the employee ringing up my purchases stops in the middle to talk to another employee, who has, for some reason, felt the need to interrupt the transaction while the one helping me, responds. What the hell kind of customer service is that? Oh, and cash registers that do not display what is being rung up and the price. Gainan's is one of those places. Yes, I mentally add up the prices as I'm going along, but so what? Not all bar coded prices match the displayed price. Depending on what you're seeking, Gainan's is fine: not outstanding and not horrible. It's an okay store to explore. read more

I received the most beautiful bouquet of gorgeousness a week ago and am so blessed they're even MORE beautiful today! I've never been a flower person because "they just die and it makes me so sad" but life has taught me to embrace the beauty while you have the ability. Buy the flowers. And buy them from Gainan's! read more

This was the best part of the whole wedding planning experience and believe me, it was quite an undertaking to plan a wedding with my daughter living clear across the country on the East Coast. Jim Gainan was so helpful with helping her choose what she wanted and within her budget. He seemed to know exactly what her vision was and when the flowers arrived they were absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much Jim, Becky and all of the Gainan's staff. We would highly recommend Gainan's to anyone wanting to make their wedding the most beautiful & wonderful experience ever. read more

Gainan's is a quintessential flower shop and the best in the state (if not the country) by a mile. I now live in Texas and sent flowers from the Gainan's website to my friends in Austin last week and they were beautiful. I also received flowers from my mom a few weeks ago that were also sent from the Gainan's website and they were gorgeous. Gainan's does a fantastic job at connecting with local florists to provide the same quality of service from states away. I grew up in a household where fresh flowers from Gainan's frequented our kitchen table and it's amazing how I now have an eye for a good arrangement! Other flower shops simply do not even compare - I find that they tend to be too foliage-heavy. When I visit Billings for the holidays, Gainan's is at the top of my list of places to stop by. This Billings classic is easily the best place to visit for all your holiday decor needs, or just to raise your Christman spirit. If I could I would buy the whole store. Gainan's did the flowers for my graduation party, my grandpa's funeral, and they will without a doubt be doing my wedding (if/when I get there). Above all, their people are what truly sets this place apart. They are all experts in the business and very helpful and kind. Jim is a gem! read more

March 1, 2024, Lisa D., an employee of Gainan's exceeded my expectations as a customer and I will return with more of my business specifically because of her excellence. Professional, helpful, gracious and kind... Gainan's is lucky to have her and she is good for its business. read more

I sent my son to get a plant for grandma for Christmas. While the plant is lovely, the customer service left much to be desired. On a day when the temperature was near freezing, the plant was not wrapped or protected from the elements. I don't expect much from a grocery store plant, but I am paying premium prices for a Gainans plant. I expected the plant wrapped in a protective wrap with a bow. Disappointed that it was not done, or even offered. read more

Great customer service and awesome selection. I was seeking to replace some house plants I had (regrettably and sadly) abandoned in a recent cross-country move. Upon entering I discovered that this was much more than a flower shop. They had Le Creuset bakeware, kitchen tools, furniture items, gift items, etc. the entire front shop is dedicated to these types of items. There is a fresh flower section in the middle of the store and I assume they have beautiful private rooms to plan weddings and events. There is also an upstairs. My final destination was the greenhouse area in the back. They had all of the plants I was looking for and the guy working back there was super friendly and helpful. I had asked him one question about a plant, saying that I needed something non-toxic because of a dog and child at home. He came back several times as I was browsing to say he had looked up the plants I was holding and that one was toxic to dogs. He also noticed when my hands were getting full and offered to take my plants to the counter. After I had purchased my plants he helped me carry them to my car! I had my daughter with me and I really appreciated the extra help! They have 60 day warranties on their plants and give you informational cards and proof of purchase with each. The plants are awesome and I was surprised at how reasonably priced they were for the type of store Gianans is. I will definitely be coming back to "grow" my plant collection. I remember when a person could count on Gainans for outstanding floral arrangements. If you paid $100 for an arrangement, you got an absolutely stunning presentation of flowers. No more. Three days ago I received a delivery from my family for a birthday. This extraordinay bouquet was jaw-dropping, but not in the way one would hope for. First off, this is the winter month of December, am I right? This particular floral bouquet was a clearly a spring arrangement. Think lots of yellow with a couple of blue hydrangeas plugged in... Ferns galore and a lone purple carnation. An orange zinnia? I was confused. Was this supposed to be a "Congratulations on your new baby!" bouquet? My last was born over 30 years ago, hence, I didn't think so. And who came up with the idea of throwing in the three 39 inch funerial orange gladiolas sticking up, like crab claws, from the back of the arrangement? You'd have to see it to believe it. Alas, within two days the 2 blue hydrangeas were dead. The ferns were brittle, as happens when they die. An assundry of additional blooms had dropped into resignation, as if embarassed to have been placed there in the first place. It was dead & dying and, in the end, fine with me. Time to bring in the seasonal pointsetias anyway. Sadly, this isn't my first experience with such major disappointment from Gainan's. But it will be my last. Words of advice: You're sure to do far better at another floral shop, Any floral shop. If they had a delivery service, Albertsons would put this legendary business to shame. It makes me sad to leave a review such as this; nonetheless, it had to be said. read more

If 0 stars was an option, this would be more appropriate. My niece had heart surgery and I wanted to get her some flowers for her recovery. I attempted to have them delivered to Homes 2 Suites hotel as I didn't know if she would be at hospital still when they were supposed to be delivered. The flowers never showed up on the scheduled day of delivery, and there wasn't even a simple phone call given to me. Gainan's said the flowers were refused by the hotel, but I don't believe this to be true due to the fact I was sitting in the lobby on the phone with them and they said they were on the phone with my hotel. The only thing they did as they said would be charging my credit card! read more

I called a local friend to see where she recommended ordering flowers in Billings, and she said Gainans by far. I passed that on to relatives wanting to send flowers to my daughter, and I was there to help receive five of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. Each one was unique and fresh and fragrant. I highly recommend Gainans if you need flowers in Billings. read more

My daughter ordered flowers for me for Mother's Day. They were supposed to arrive the Saturday before early. When she called me Sunday to ask about the flowers, I said, "What flowers?" because none had arrived. She then asked what time I had left the house. "10 am to pick up a package at Boot Barn. I arrived back home around noon." So she called Gainan's to see what had happened. They merely told her they were undeliverable with no explanation as to what that meant. She found that odd because flowers reached my next door neighbor that morning with no issues. In any case, she requested a new delivery that very day. I stayed at home waiting until 5 pm. They never showed up. So I called and told my daughter to ask for her money back. I don't know what's going on with this business as I quit using them about three years ago because of non-arrival of flowers. If my daughter had asked, I would have told her not to order from them but now she knows. Kind of ruined my Mother's Day but it's not her fault, it's theirs. read more

"Always be skeptical when the son takes over the family business from Dad." How many times have we heard this in our lives? Sadly, this rings true again. At one point he quality was solid, the craftsmanship was top level and it made a difference. If you want lawn furniture, maybe it's ok even if it's the most expensive in town. If you want garden supplies and plants, maybe. And if you just want to impress someone with over priced cookie-cutter flowers, sure. This company is so focused on the business, the dollars and cents, and the bottom line they forgot why they started. In the 6 years I've worked with them they have gone from me thinking they are amazing to barely impressed. They take something special and turn it into just another dollar sign. read more

I ordered two arrangements from Gainan's for my mother's funeral. I was very happy with both - one of roses and one large mixed arrangement. Roses were absolutely beautiful. It's been 10 days and the large arrangement still looks great - we left it in the lobby of her building and just saw how great it still looks. Gainan's is the best in Billings, hands down. read more

Thank you so much for saving our daughter's wedding. After a receiving our flowers from "Flowers from the Heart" in terrible condition the day before the wedding ( that they wouldn't even try to fix or respond to our messages). My husband called Gainans who immediately dropped what they were doing to help us. Even though they didn't have the exact flowers we needed they made a beautiful bouquet for my daughter as well as a bouquet for the Maid of Honor, Boutineers and Corsages on short notice. Best customer service and beautiful work. The Fulton and Rodriguez families are grateful. read more

I've always used Gainan's and been impressed with their product. However most recently in several orders I am very unimpressed with the customer service. I do not feel that my business is appreciated and frankly felt patronized, all the way up to the management that I spoke to with regards to my issues. I feel like I am paying a higher price than most any other shop in Billings for not only the arrangements but the service. I will definitely be rethinking paying a premium price for bargain basement service. I'm quite sure there are plenty of quality shops in Billings that will be happy to have my business and treat me accordingly. read more

Walked in to purchase a bouquet for my daughter's promotion at work. The clerk seemed bored waiting for me to choose. Sorry. I ended up spending about $120 on a lovely arrangement that was seated in a wooden decorative box. Plus a specialty pot to hold a green plant. The clerk was very kind to help me bring the arrangement to my car because I carried the other plant. I put the arrangement on the floor of the back seat. By the time I got to the business where my daughter works, the box was leaking, even though it hadn't tipped over. By the time I got into the lobby it was leaking more. It made a huge mess on the desk and floor in the lobby. My daughter took all the flowers out of the box and found inside a very shallow, flimsy plastic liner that was unable to contain all the water. She took all the flowers out of the decorative box and stuffed them into the other pot I had bought to hold the green plant. The floral arrangement cost approx $89 and had to be disassembled. I think they should have provided a better liner because the presentation was ruined because of a chintzy liner. No good. read more
