Our host suggested the place and we were never disappointed on what it offered to us. We were seated in the best spot of the restaurant, this nipa hut put us in the vacation feeling mode. The restaurant has the best view of the town's well known bluish greenish beach waters. The restaurant interior has its native touch details. The service was impeccable. The waitstaff maybe got crazy dealing with our group of about 15-18 people. They were able to provide all our demands in a short period of time. The food was great, all the best of the North cuisine as suggested by the our local host were served with pride. It has exceeded our expectations. The resort has hotel accommodation as well. I cant say anything about it as we never stayed over but I am pretty sure they have something good for you to offer. The place is quiet, the view is breathtaking and the people are nice. It is a recommended place to stay if you do not want to be with big crowd and still enjoy the Pagudpud's water experience. Best of all, you will find in this place the peace and tranquility you are longing for.

Friendly staff and very accommodating for our wheelchair our 2 rooms were adjacent and on the lobby floor. Which I appreciated considering there are no elevator. Fast forward, Before going back home to the states we figured it was more convenient to just stay at the same hotel and because they were so friendly and accommodating on our first stay, decided to reserved 2 rooms again. But this time around it was a whole different tune. We check in first and had mentioned about having another reservation under the same name (gave check in date for the other room) and needed wheelchair access. First thing she mentioned they have foreigners guest??? I looked at her and said and why are you telling me this. We are all booked? So I ask her how will a wheelchair go up those steps and she mentioned I booked your other room on the ground floor ok makes sense. But when we check for wheelchair access to go up to the restaurant let's just say you need to go basically around. So I ask the front desk again for a lobby she replied once again they have lots of foreigners guest. (I guess I'm not a foreigner considering I'm from the states?!) Left did a few more sightseeing came back and another worker was at the front so I ask if any rooms was available on the lobby she check room was available with upgrade! So we did an upgrade. Not sure why the other front desk person didn't notify me when clearly I asked multiple times plus when I booked the room I clearly stated about a wheelchair. Wanted to give a 3star because of the front desk issue, but decided to do a 4star only because the restaurant services made up for it. Rooms are spacious and clean which is a plus both had a balcony for both times we stayed. We used the gym, it was extremely hot in there. They had a treadmill that was not working at the time we could not find the plug to it.

From the moment we walked in, the front desk stuff greeted us with smiles and warm hospitality. This was consistent among wait staff at the restaurant and everywhere else within the hotel. Java has a nice outdoor pool, tennis court, gym, and restaurant along with a number of in-room services including massages, manicures, and laundry. We did take advantage of all these during our stay and was impressed with the service and price. Java is currently working on an addition that will almost double the size of the hotel. Looking forward to seeing the finished hotel the next time we visit Ilocos.

They have an extensive American and Filipino menu, and I was craving a burger. The service was pretty good overall! Though there were some small ups and downs like missing condiments or my cousin's Hawaiian burger missing pineapple but, the fries were definitely a highlight, hot and crispy. Prices are pretty affordable for tourists, and the view is absolutely stunning! Overall, it's a really cute resort with beautiful beach views. The prices are decent. If you're planning a big family trip, I'd probably recommend an Airbnb, but if it's just a few people, this could be the perfect spot. A lot of surfers come here, and for around $150 a night, you can get a family suite with 2 queen beds, pretty reasonable. Want something bigger? A 2-bedroom for 8 people with 4 queen beds runs about $330, which breaks down to roughly $45 per person per night if all 8 adults split it. Not bad at all for a fun beach getaway!

My wife and I stayed in Grand Ilocandia hotel for 6 nights. We both give this place a generous 1/5…read morestars. The hotel was recently sold and is currently undergoing new management. The iconic "Fort Ilocandia" was rebranded to "Grand Ilocandia." Bluntly put, this hotel sucks and there's nothing grand about it. Reviews will fool you if you google it. Youtube videos are probably from some locals who's unaware of their own biases. It seems like it's been let go but the locals are trying their best to keep it together. But with poor management and business acumen it's slowly rotting. It does have its perks, like the gardens, greenery, breeze; it's not totally unbearable. Lots of history. This hotel was built in the 70s, claim to be the "5 star of the north," but honestly, it's like a 1 star motel at best in today's standards. Nothing seems to have been updated from this place since the 70s. There was pink mold in the room, the beds were super firm and just old. Might as well sleep on concrete or plywood. There were some bugs on the bed as well. The entire room looks like from the 70s. Even the A/C vents had some grease. The best feature of this place is the private beach. The hotel didn't have phones and their tv is not updated/usable. I actually was born here and wanted to show my wife parts of where I grew up after retiring from the US military. As much as I'd like to advocate for this place, I can't. I have blood relatives that have been working here for 20-30 years. Even after talking to the hotel staff, they don't even recommend it. One hotel staff say they even found a snake in one of the rooms and begged the guests to delete the photo. Please do yourself and your family a favor and do NOT stay here. Not comfortable at all and it's barely livable to say the least. Furthermore, I heard from the locals Waterfront Cebu bought this hotel $50-$53M which will start renovations soon, and some kind of megaword will be built near it roughly $250m project. But currently, this hotel has terrible accommodations to offer, and we do not recommend. Maybe an airbnb option is best if you're visiting this part of the country.

AMBIANCE: Parking: There's a parking lot and the two times I went there, I didn't have any issues but do plan accordingly for holidays and special events. Feels: It's a pretty grandiose and well-maintained spot. There is some random decorations with some nice pictures of some Filipino popular history. The restaurant had room for about 100 people and the food was delicious - chocolate blood, lechon, adobo...good stuff. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Good. They accommodated for our reservation last minute. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. When in Illocos Norte and need a more upper scale place to stay, this is your spot. There's a lot of activities to do around here and pretty isolated from the city if you want that quiet scene. Tips: * Plan accordingly for reservations, especially during the Holidays

Pool: cool and refreshing to me, but my niece and nephew got rashes...we dont know why, possibly mosquitoes. Cabanas: very peaceful location along the river, fell asleep watching women washing along the riverbed. These were the good. Now, the ugly. 1. Upon arrival, name of reservation was under the wrong name. Girls blamed bookings.com for the mistake. 2. Same girls argued with me and my wife that if we would have called directly we could have used my nephews 10 percent discount for being a police officer, but we proved from our recent cell calls that we did try but NO ONE EVER PICK UP THE PHONE IN THEIR PART...ALMOST ONE HOUR OF TRIES!! 3. restaurant was ok, but TOO EXPENSIVE FOR EVEN THE PHILIPPINES. We drove to laoag which was 20 minutes away and only spent 1/10 OF what we would have spent...plus no take out...dine in or room service only... I could go on and on, but considering the location...Jimsy out!!

Hotel Luna, Vigan - A Beautiful Heritage Stay With Real Comfort…read more Hotel Luna is one of the nicest places to stay in Vigan. It's a four-star hotel, but what struck me more was how well kept everything is. The whole place blends Filipino Spanish and Chinese influences, so when you walk in, you get that instant nostalgia you expect from Vigan, but without losing any of the modern comforts. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully done. The air-conditioning is strong, everything is well equipped, and the Japanese-style toilet is a nice surprise. The courtyard pool sits right in the center of the property, and all the hallways and rooms look down into it, which gives the place a quiet, old-world charm. One of the best parts of staying here is the museum on the second floor. It has pieces from well-known Filipino artists, including BenCab and Arturo Luz. It's not a token display. It's a proper gallery that adds character to the hotel. They also have Chula Bar, which serves drinks and Spanish-style dishes and tapas. It's a good spot before heading out or winding down after dinner. The main dining area handles the buffet services. Breakfast is good, and on weekends they sometimes run dinner buffets. Last night, they had a Japanese buffet, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. Another big plus is the location. The hotel is just off Calle Crisologo, the iconic street where no cars are allowed. Shops, cafés, and restaurants surround the area, so you can walk everywhere. Overall, Hotel Luna is beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm. If you're planning a Vigan trip, this is the place I'd recommend. For anyone coming from Manila: Driving takes around seven hours, depending on traffic. If you prefer to fly, the trip from Manila to Laoag Airport is about an hour, and the land transfer from Laoag to Hotel Luna takes roughly one hour and forty minutes.
