They are always overcrowded, and many times has inefficient staff to handle the injections. Some of the shot givers are new and seem to be practicing. (not the issue today) I came to this office in Pines, and I am a patient of many years- this office did not call in my new Insurance which also included a second insurance from the Va (but this office admitted that they have had the insurance since August 1 or 2 and failed to call in and verify. As a result, my vials were on hold. The staff let me drive an hour to get there and sit another hour prior to telling me and everyone else in the waiting room that my vials are on hold as their office failed to call in my insurance. The girl in broken English told me to call Miami and argue with them; what a joke! the girl went onto say she did not even work there. Really? She went onto say that " NO ONE IS IN CHARGE AND THERE IS NO MANAGER" BUT THEY ARE GIVING INJECTIONS. What a cluster! I watched as the staff just walked by with their heads down did nothing but recognized me as I have been going there for many years. I am fond of my doctor there and that is the only reason that I have allowed this nonsense to continue; there are many issues happening that are not being corrected. I must question if you cannot speak clear and concise English, can you properly read the dosage that patients are supposed to be receiving? If no one is a manager and no one in charge, who is ensuring that the patients are getting the dosages and proper care? How can you run an office like this? I am sure the medical board would like to hear all about this. I have bit my tongue thru the years as many questionable things have happened in front of my face and directly to me- everyone draws the line at some point. Do your jobs- call in the insurance-stop with the humiliation of screaming others business all over the waiting room to others- learn the HIPPA rules before you get shut down. How dare you speak to me in the manner in which you did on Saturday. I only come here to this office for shots as no one else offers them on Saturday. SHAME ON YOU for treating a client of many years like this. Sure hope I don't get sick before you do your job and verify my insurance, I think you would be at fault. I will leave you with that.

She was seen in the early afternoon and prescribed medications to treat her condition. She asked for her prescription and was assured that paper scripts weren't necessary as they would call it in promptly themselves. The urgent need for these medications was emphasized but we were reassured that they would be sent to our pharmacy. After a 40 minute drive home, we stopped by the pharmacy with the hopes we could finally experience relief from the pain through the use of this much needed medication. To our chagrin, we learned that the Dr hadn't submitted the prescription as promised. We called the dermatology office and we're told that , "Sorry, the Dr hasn't had the chance, he's busy" Again we emphasized the need and the pain she was experiencing to no avail. We called again 2 hours later and heard the same response, "Sorry he's busy". Finally, after witnessing my girlfriend drawing blood with tears in her eyes, relentlessly scratching with no relief, I called the indifferent employees at the Dr's office. I was greeted with, "Thank you for calling, please hold." and was hung up on. (Jessica I believe) At this point I figured I was going to be needing medication for how angry I was. I called again and was asked to hold once more. I refused and pleaded with Cassandra to hear me out. I was transferred to what seemed to be an answering service and spoke to Lauren. Only at this point did we see some action. It was closing time by now and I was fearful that the prescription wouldn't be sent to the pharmacy. Only after telling them that I was going to write a negative review did they seem to care. We initially asked for our prescriptions on paper so we could hand deliver them to our pharmacy. They were cavalier and indifferent to the urgent needs of their patient. We were just a number. The only thing that is prompt about this office is their ability to collect payment. I would avoid this place at all costs. I truly look forward to this office's response. (I we even get one)

I didn't know the name of it off the top of my head. She got mad and said how do you not know the name. I told her they should have it in my records. She found it and couldn't pronounce it herself. Dr J Marder came in he is the rudest most unprofessional Dr. I ever met. He changed my skin cream after knowing the original cream I was on was working. Within seconds of using the cream my skin was on fire. My skin literally burned off from head to toe. It's almost 5 months later and I still have swollen legs and feet. My legs and feet are numb and the pain in my legs is horrible. My legs are discolored. Been to the hospital twice and numerous new doctor appts with multiple doctors. I would not recommend my worst enemy to this place. When I tried to call this office for help I couldn't even get through. When you leave a message your calls are not returned. By far the worst Dr.I have ever seen in my life. It's possible I could have permanent scars. The worst Dr. I ever seen in my life. My recommendation to anyone needing a dermatologist DO NOT GO HERE. Find somebody else. I don't want anyone else getting hurt the way I am

My appointment today was in Weston so I could be seen sooner. This was my first time going there. While literally walking into the building to go to my appt, I get a call saying that I had a $700 balance and I needed to pay to be seen. Once I got into the office, the front desk lady I was on the phone with was at the front desk. I shared that I was not aware of a $700 balance from 2014 - its 2020 and I was told my account was up to date previously. There was a lot of back and forth and checking and I asked why wouldn't someone tell me this info prior to my appt , and how could I still be coming for visits since 2014 and making payments for my office visits and such, with no one coming at me in the way they are today. My appointment was at 2:30p and now its 3:15p. They wouldn't let me get seen. I tell them I need to be seen or let me know of they are turning me away. As someone who as asthma, I wanted to be seen before this coronavirus stuff got out of control so I could have any needed meds. I needed to get back to work. I honestly was shocked and appalled of the treatment. I was then told that they wanted me to pay half or $350 of this mysterious balance to be seen plus my $100 visit cost to be seen. Around 2014, the office changed their billing program. I know this because depending on who I spoke with, I was told I owed something then I was told there was no balance. It was very confusing and frustrating. I had zero trust for their billing department and shared that with the doctor over the years. Last year when making a payment, I asked again if my account clear I was told YES. Then this happened today. The very confused office manager had me speak with the billing manager Nancy who was unprofessional. She said I always have these reactions, since I was still coming in they just allowed it and she started referring her notes form 2015! WOW really? Makes no sense - this is incompetence at its finest or a scam. The last few years or so during office visits, I'd ask them to bill my insurance first and send a bill so I can ensure what they were saying is true about anything I owed. I had to strongly insist on this and that may be what she was referencing which is in my right- but other than that I've only been frustrated with misinformation. I won't be going back and don't recommend them to anyone due to the way their administration is managed. Its a shame because Dr Shamir is good. I've shared my frustrations a few times over the years and today with him but he said he doesn't know anything about that side. You unfortunately are not 100% in good hands here as the administration side is very important with patient care and that's where they consistent fall short, today is just one almost unbelievable example.

I have been very sick and, unfortunately, I was unable to get an appointment directly with Dr. Mirmelli, who has treated me for many years at the South Beach location. As a result, I was sent to the North Miami Beach clinic on a Friday at 4:30 PM -- the worst possible day and time of the week. I left the beach 1.5 hours early to try to avoid traffic, but it was completely unavoidable due to heavy congestion and a car accident on I-95. I immediately called the clinic to inform them that I would be arriving a few minutes late because of the traffic situation. The person who answered assured me that I could arrive as late as 5:45 PM. However, when I arrived at 4:48 PM, I was told the clinic was already closed. Eventually, someone who identified herself as Dr. Melissa Mendoza came out and treated me in a very disrespectful manner. She refused to see me and displayed an extremely unprofessional, cold, and inhumane attitude. I do not consider her competent to treat patients. Her behavior showed a complete lack of compassion, empathy, and professionalism, which is unacceptable for anyone in the medical field. I strongly advise others to reconsider receiving care from this provider. Tatiana
