As a brand, Booths is always described as a "Northern Waitrose" but I'd even say that's a bit of an insult, Booths is, of course, more expensive than a regular supermarket but unlike Waitrose, it isn't expensive just to be expensive, most the items are good quality and the service-focus aspect means the staff are generally quite friendly, of course, I'd be careful buying branded goods from here though! This particular Booths location has a decent-sized parking lot, you're able to park for free for up to two hours, although there is clear signage in the car park that you must not use the car park for the Hospital. The store again is a good size, it contains a large Cafe area and many fresh food counters for meats, fish and cheese. One thing I particularly like is how they had certain items from the deli including fish and meat products already portioned out and ready, so you don't have to wait for someone to serve you at the counter. The store was clean and the aisles were fairly well posted so it was easy to find what I was looking for, the signage didn't appear to have been updated for Easter though, which appeared to be where the "Free From" range should have been. The layout of the store was also handy, with the to-go food and drink section, including the OJ machine right at the front of the store, with the newspapers, which is particularly handy if you just want to grab something quick before heading to the hospital across the way. The stock was good for a store of its' size, and the staff were friendly, as you'd expect from any Booths. They only have manned checkouts here, I get this is the same with all Booths stores, but I feel this location being in a busy location close to the city centre and Hospital could do with self-service checkouts to help customers in a hurry to get in and out more quickly. 4*
