Just prior to 02.19.2024, I went is and told Evan and "John PETER' what was going on with it. They diagnosed the problem and got me on the right track (no pun intended). Lawn Mower: Honda 2162SDA w/clutch. I inherited this from the prior home owner when I moved in approx 2 years ago, in the shed. At some time, I believe the prior owner switched to a lawn service in the end. This year I began finding some added things to sort through. The lawn mower? What the heck. With some starter fluid it ran for about 10 seconds and cut out. I brought the mower in to John, this time. He recommended the right fuel. He said it may be the carburetor. It was. They had a delay getting the replacement carburetor part from the Honda distributor. Delays always increase my focus toward my end mean. I read a prior review from 20012-13 and spoke w/ John Peter. He was thorough, straight-forward and honest, there's some repetition, I know. Over the added time frame, John-Peter gave a call to me, if the manufacturer was delayed and they were. This is where some people stick their heads in the sand. They didn't. I received a call from John today that the mower was ready. He said Matt D., he's sort of important sometimes, hadn't seen a carburetor in this condition. To me it looked like saw dust (it wasn't) by the intakes. Matt did other stuff. Replaced a cracked fuel cap that I would never have seen. He did other adjustments while it was on the table. Thanks. Bad news travel fast, good news does travel faster.

I got a complete new driveway, front porch and walkway done and could not be happier with the job they did. Everyone who showed up were professionals and did their work quickly and efficiently over a four visit project spanning almost two months. After breaking up and removing the old asphalt, a base layer was put down and then had to settle for 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, we add brick pave edging and had the whole porch done in one long day. FYI, asphalt projects are dicy and depend to a great deal on the weather and tends to throw off the companies schedule. The work tended to drag a bit, but they stayed in touch and when ready, came and did the job to my complete satisfaction. I've worked with lots of companies in the area and Fifth Ave is a top notch firm.

The owner agreed to come by to look at it and was unwilling to hear any of the concerns. He offered to put more sealant on the driveway for an additional fee (over $150) after saying it looked like there was too much sealer on the driveway to begin with. How is this a resolution? They installed our driveway 6 years ago and have been the only company to touch it since. Very disappointed to say the least.

I have no idea why anyone gives this company a bad review. I have used JS appliance 3-4 times in…read morethe past ten years and have always received courteous, prompt , professional service . Most recently my 4 year old Dishwasher wasn't draining properly so I reached out to JS Appliance repair and they scheduled us for the next day for service. There is a service calls fee that gets deducted from the repair if the repair gets completed . It's pretty easy to understand. You get a very knowledgeable specialized service repair person to come to your house and evaluate your issue. That ealuation is not free ,and shouldn't be , for those confused about "upfront" pricing in other reviews. This is not a 5 minute roof estimate that would be free , someone is actually taking something apart in your home to evaluate it. Recently Nick came to our home , as scheduled, a dishwasher expert himself to evaluate our dishwasher. The company does have specialized repair people for different appliances , and Nick knew his stuff. He evaluated the issue in minutes, and resolved our stuck water shut off valve too, which I could not turn at all , and was afraid of breaking, A repair part had to be ordered and would take 2-3 days. Please note , if your appliance repair part is plentiful on a repair truck , you may have bought the wrong brand in my opinion. It took two days and the company scheduled us for the install, and final partial payment to be made. Once again , nick arrived very prompt and installed the part and ran diagnostic checks to ensure us that our leaking issue was resolved . Customer service 10/10,effective communication, problem resolution 10/10. The woman I spoke with at the office was really nice and understanding too. Kind of company we all dread calling , but when you need an appliance repair company I would call JS .
