History

Established in 2019.

G-Tek started in 2019, shortly after I finished high school. The brand came to life while I was messing around on Photoshop; I designed a clean, techy logo inspired by Apple’s aesthetic, paired it with the 'G,' and everything clicked. But the real reason I started this business goes back further. Growing up, I used to hang out at our local library to use the public computers, and I’d always stop what I was doing to help the seniors who were struggling with their devices. I realized early on that people often left the library still needing real, hands-on tech support. The turning point was watching an older lady at a big-box store get brushed off and told her device was just 'garbage' by a salesman. I absolutely hate seeing people get taken advantage of or left stranded. I founded G-Tek to be the honest, reliable alternative—a local business built on looking out for our neighbors and providing tech support you can actually trust.

Meet the Business Owner: James G.

Hey there! I'm the owner of G-Tek, a local business specializing in computer repair, low-voltage networking, and security installs. I’m a country kid who believes in hard work, looking out for your neighbors, and staying truly invested in the community. On top of running the business, I’m currently expanding my trade skills by working on becoming an electrician. Community is incredibly important to me, which is why I love volunteering my time at my church, both mentoring in the youth program and handling the tech department. If I’m not working or volunteering, there’s a pretty good chance I’m outside turning wrenches on my Celica hobby car. I love what I do, and I’m proud to serve our community every day!
