As well as local stories, they run some of the bigger national stories, sometimes putting a local twist on them. There is also a good sports section, with updates on various local teams. Generally, a decent local resource, although perhaps more of a regional paper than a local one.

Does offer other services - unsurprisingly all connected to The Argus. If you want to put an advert in the paper, or buy a back issue - then this is the place to go (although I'm sure this can all be done online these days ?) If you live in Brighton & Hove then it's almost a certainty that at some point in your life you will have your picture published in The Argus (albeit that my five minutes of fame in there was a picture of me in a quite a tacky bar !) If you go to this branch you can order a copy of the actual photograph taken. It will make your mum so proud ..... !

Primarily, it is essential coffee table material if you want to stay in touch with a lot of the club and music events taking place in the city during a month. They also have a number of features on local bands and Brightonian artists etc. It's great for Brighton newbies, who can quickly get accustomed to whats in and out in the city. They also have monthly reviews of eateries throughout the city and there area mass of listings for a lot of businesses also. It certainly maintains the spirit of Brighton within it's pages and the editorial team keep it fresh and interesting. Hurrah!

Half the magazine is dedicated to property - with both rental and sales. Of course, most of the rental places will almost certainly have gone by the time you ring up the agent, but at least it's a good way to get a flavour of what's available. The other half is lifestyle and entertainments, with a useful TV guide in the centre, and articles on various aspects of Brighton life, including reviews and regular columnists. It's normally available at Brighton Station and outside various newsagents and estate agents - it's hardly groundbreaking journalism, but it's a good place to get a feel for the city if you're new here, or check listings if you're not.

They have always been incredibly supportive, going far beyond reasonable lengths to ensure each job is done to perfection. From the diligence of their design guys in checking over our graphics, to allowing us to take some severe liberties with urgent print runs 4 Print have always come up trumps. I still remember them getting in a print run in 48 hours - I must assume they spent all night with hair driers getting the flyers dry... Competitively priced, excellent customer service and very friendly staff. Look no further for your printing needs.

They've produced stunning brochures, flyers and posters for everyone from The Big Chill to Drakes Hotel and their speciality is Responsible Print. As well as liasing directly with local and national printers they trust, they offer a range of recycled papers, vegetable oil based ink and the capacity to view and offset any CO2 emissions caused by your print job. Running a graphic design company - check out www.bonnieandclydedesign.com to see our stuff! - I'm always on the look out for reliable and cost effective printers and was blown away by the quality at Four Corners. So far, they've printed a brochure, a fold out guide, a press pack and cardboard pom pom makers for us and every single item was top notch.

Today's gripping real life story included graphic pictures of raw electrocuted flesh. A perfect accompaniment to my leftover spaghetti bolognese. The shop itself is tiny, one of those box-room newsagents crammed to breaking point of daily essentials. The little man who runs it is very friendly, until you try to pay on your card when there isn't enough on it. He also told me I didn't need to buy butter one evening on the way back from the gym because I was fat enough. I was not amused. I did have my massive bulky parker on though, and he was very apologetic when he saw the red in my eyes. Curiously, he's been overly friendly ever since!
