We meet them again in Lisbon in August as they are joining us on a cruise departing Lisbon. We've three other cruises lined up this year so we got tee shirts printed for each as our own memento - I know. Sounds daft even bonkers but it's one off for the craic. Mind you we ended up with 20 tee shirts and all from a whim. Speaking of craic we met the owner of this place: Bumper. Now you'll never find him in the kitchen at parties. Genuine top bloke. Seems he literally can print anything onto anything, mugs, flasks, lanyards, posters. It can be simple or complicated, giant to small print. He said they also do picture framing. A one stop shop. What a bloody great find.

You'd think this would make it straight forward to choose paint and wallpaper but it really doesn't. It makes it more confusing, like where do you start? So, that's where Noblett's come in! I had never heard of the place before but apparently it's pretty notorious and is the go to place for wallpaper and paint. On a trip in to town on Saturday we decided to pop in here to have a gander at some stuff. There's roll upon roll of wallpaper over two floors so after about 10 minutes each roll becomes the same pattern and if you stare at them too long you start seeing other things, kinda like Magic Eyes. The choice is endless, so my recommendation (now that I'm an expert) is to go in to Noblett's with a clear idea of what you want. The store is conveniently separated in to different rooms. They do give out samples but you have to ask the staff to cut the sample off the rolls - they seem pretty strict on this as there's signs everywhere. The staff themselves are really helpful. The store is well staffed and there will generally be a member of staff within shouting distance. All in all a really good store - it's nice and personal and still has that family business feel to it.

Having previously reviewing the store in Castlecourt I thought (meaning my girlfriend thought and I…read moredid not get a say in it) we'd go to the Boucher Road and check out the Homewares store. I have just recently acquired a new house for the new term so I really wanted to make it my own by getting some accessories such as cushions and throws, stuff that will prevent any stains on the already musty sofas but which will guarantee me my deposit back. Ha! Brian One. Estate Agents Zero. We headed to the Boucher Road with the intentions of going to Au Naturale but Laura Ashley's caught my eye and I thought I'd take a quick look. The prices of cushions ranged from £16 to £35, I thought that was for the set but no it was the actual price for one. Perhaps I was naïve or perhaps I had spent too long shopping and I was becoming increasingly infuriated with designer shops because I don't know how you can justify this price. Worringly I saw people actually paying money for the stuff in here. I quickly exited and made for Au Naturale. If you don't have a budget or have to worry about money then definitely come here as the stuff is really nice but other than that please avoid.

It is a good place to look into buying home appliances such as fridges, freezers, cookers and televisions if you want helpful customer service and items delivered to your door. They always seem to be offering sales and deals of one kind or another and I don't know precisely how competitive the prices are but as it can be so much easier to buy things from this type of shop rather than trekking to some vast outlet in a retail park I would give them good consideration. So far I have bought an iron here and inquired about a washing machine which I didn't need in the end. They have a few laptops which are less competitive but the good thing here is the convenience and the fact that it's easy to find someone to speak to if you are interested in buying anything who can tell you what you need to know.

Originally this review read I cannot emphasise enough how badly I was treated by this company…read more and went on to explain why Well I have just had a phone call with them 15/11 they phoned me and all the problem has been resolved.... its a fact problems happen with goods, deliveries and so on but its how the company in this case samsyerman react to sort the problem out that actually counts Now in the first instance that wasn't the best but all credit to them after having a bit of an ear bashing they listened and it was all sorted out. As such they have tuned a negative customer who swore he would never shop there again into one that will always look here for my goods first in future Now as reviews go I don't think they get much better and I can now highly recommend them. Lets face it you can go anywhere for your items and anywhere can muck something up but I am reassured here that a mistake was corrected and done so in a sensible manner.

A quick look round and I had seen loads of things I wanted to buy - as well as framing pictures, they also sell little nic nacs for the house like pin boards and little wooden boxes. They also have lots of ready framed prints and pictures and seem to have a never ending sale. The guy working there was out the back obviously having breakfast and first impressions weren't that great as I thought he would have preferred to finish his bacon sarnie than talk to me. Once he realised that I was serious about choosing three frames, he was great, patiently holding up about 20 samples for me to see what they would look like. I was also pleased with price and think I would have paid more elsewhere. Hopefully I will be as pleased when I collect my framed prints.
