From a non-knitters point of view, and experienced yarn store visitor, this is a nice place. I think the first time I visited, they were in the midst of remodeling or reorganizing their show area. It was still a very nice environment, and a pleasant store. We just went there over the weekend, and it was in tip-top shape! There is a decent amount of yarn on hand, and several tables and a couch to sit at. Lots of notions and accessories, as well as a small selection of clothing and wearable creations. The store does not carry 'all the yarns', but they have a very nice selection of yearn weights, colors and fibers. Considering how many boutique yarn dyers and craft spinning junkies there are online, it would be silly to try to carry them all. However, you should be able to find a nice skein or two that you really need to take home and introduce to the rest of your stash. Last, but not least, they have one of the nicest store restrooms I have ever used. 'The Loo' is small, but very clean, nicely decorated and easy to access. And clean, did I mention that? Anyway, if you are escorted to another yarn shop by your SO, this one is a good choice.

If you're looking for needles or hooks, they've got a nice selection and also a generous choice of books and gift items. Service can be a little iffy depending on what day you go- sometimes I've received outstanding help and other times the staff have seemed uninterested in answering any questions. Definitely worth the drive from Oklahoma City, especially if you plan on making an afternoon of visiting the neighboring antique shops and taking the city trolley tour.

The book selection is great and they have charms and stickers for all ages. The space is cozy and charming, the staff were incredibly kind. My kids especially loved the dogs! It was also refreshing to find a place in rural Oklahoma that encourages open-minded, progressive conversation and creates a welcoming space for ideas. I'm looking forward to attending events and continuing to support this wonderful local business.

I didn't love pretty books until Novel Idea ... I loved to read, but I didn't know the books…read morethemselves could be so beautiful! I picked up an author I didn't know because the cover was shiny, and now I've read 5 of her books. One new book I grabbed from the book club list, another couple with pretty bindings ... One of those turned into reading a 3-book series and a 13-book series all this year. All that to say, I've been inspired having a well-curated, community-centered book shop in town. They just celebrated 2 years, and I'm eager for what the next 2 bring! Most recently I made it to one of their book festivals. I had no idea Oklahoma had so many talented independent writers, and it filled me with pride to see them showcased (and get to buy their books!). They do three a year, definitely worth the trip.
