Everyone is very friendly, from the reception desk, to the restaurant staff and even the housekeepers! The massage offerings are also very nice! Food is as great as you may expect and the fact that it's literally walking distance to the beach! I will always choose Kahuna! Also a huge shoutout to our driver to Vigan, Kuya Edgar! Could not have asked for a better driver to take us around!

They have an extensive American and Filipino menu, and I was craving a burger. The service was pretty good overall! Though there were some small ups and downs like missing condiments or my cousin's Hawaiian burger missing pineapple but, the fries were definitely a highlight, hot and crispy. Prices are pretty affordable for tourists, and the view is absolutely stunning! Overall, it's a really cute resort with beautiful beach views. The prices are decent. If you're planning a big family trip, I'd probably recommend an Airbnb, but if it's just a few people, this could be the perfect spot. A lot of surfers come here, and for around $150 a night, you can get a family suite with 2 queen beds, pretty reasonable. Want something bigger? A 2-bedroom for 8 people with 4 queen beds runs about $330, which breaks down to roughly $45 per person per night if all 8 adults split it. Not bad at all for a fun beach getaway!

The Quest Clark Hotel is located in Pampanga, Philippines and is a hotel + conference center. I…read morestayed here for the first part of my Philippines trip and was impressed with the large venue as well as the friendly , attentive service. I arranged my airport pickup through the hotel from Clark International Airport. Airport transfer costs 900 Philippines Pesos or $15 for about a 15 minute ride. While it is pricier than getting a Grub (Philippine's version of uber), it was convenient and hassle free. The hotel's location is very convenient. In addition to being 15 minutes away from the airport, it is is also about 10 minutes from SM City Clark- one of Pampanga's largest shopping malls. Beyond its proximity to shopping, I also liked that there was plenty of space to walk around and explore. They've got a huge fitness center and pool. They also have a various eateries within the restaurant including a buffet and a nice steakhouse. I stayed in one of their Deluxe Rooms. Overall the room was clean and decently sized but did feel a bit outdated. I was surprise it didn't even have a hairdryer in the room. While it was comfortable enough, the hotel room just didn't feel as modern as other places I stayed at on my trip. Although the room was not necessarily the best, I can say this hotel made up for it with their great service. The folks here are friendly and helpful. I had a super early morning flight to Bohol and which meant I would miss my complimentary breakfast buffet. They offered instead to pack my breakfast and they had it ready for me with a nice hot cup of coffee at 3:30am! It was above and beyond and I am grateful. When my Grub driver ran late, the hotel also came to the rescue with arranging a last minute shuttle ride to the airport at 4am. This great service really stood out for me. Overall, while the rooms felt slightly dated, I did feel Quest Clark Hotel delivered where it mattered most - in friendly customer service. I am happy with my stay here!

This review is specifically for the large villa that we stayed in. The villa was beautiful and the…read moreservice was excellent. When an issue arose, it was dealt with expediency. The villa looks better in real life than what my pictures can show. One note of caution is the use of clean, clear glass doors in the bathroom areas. It's best to keep these doors open at all times to avoid reenacting the famous bug hitting windshield move, especially while moving about in the middle of the night. The blinds are remote controlled, as we discovered while working the tv. Keep an eye out for the white remote control. The hotel staff brings cookies every night, which were tasty. The water from the machine in the room is safe for foreigners like me to drink. The villa has its own security/ assistant, who takes post at the front door, where cameras are also posted. With the beautiful setting and service, you can't help but feel like a real VIP, even if you aren't. If you need anything, it's just a quick call away.

If you are getting a bit restless in Manila, one weekend trip that you will surely enjoy if you…read morelove mountain climbing and hiking is the trek to Mt. Pulag's summit. Mt. Pulag's Ambangeng Trail is a fairly easy climb even for beginners, but what really makes it challenging is the extreme cold and the highly unpredictable weather. The elusive "sea of clouds" that all climbers hope for isn't a guarantee, and many a climber (including myself) has gone up and back down frustrated, because the famed sea of clouds didn't make an appearance. For what it's worth, though, Pulag is such a beautiful mountain and it has a great biosphere - the flora and fauna are just jaw-dropping. I'll have you know that there is a really great tour organizing company that will take care of your needs if you do decide to go up and attempt to summit Mt. Pulag. Edelweiss Tours is girl power to the highest level, as most of the organizers are strong, beautiful and very enthusiastic local women. Teacher Agot, Ate Odel and their team are dedicated to keeping the mountains safe, secure and ecologically balanced, that's why they promote responsible tourism in this side of the country. Teacher Agot and co. will help you with pretty much everything - from the tour permits, the passes, the fees, the tents and the food. All you need to do is muster up the courage and the stamina for the trek and you're all set. Teacher Agot has been doing the trek for several years now, and her list of clients include high profile celebrities and travelers. You can reserve your slots or book a special trip by getting in touch with the following people: Novelynne Sumakey- 0910-798-7005 (smart)/0906-951-4270 (globe)or Agot Baban -0930-363-1218(globe). Teacher Agot and Team Edelweiss also has a guest house in Kabayan, the Baban Homestay, where you can stay and enjoy the view of the misty mountains and foothills of Benguet. On a more personal note, Teacher Agot literally saved my life during my first Pulag climb. It was 2AM and I woke up shivering in the cold because it had rained during the night. Our tent got flooded despite our best waterproofing efforts, and I was almost in a state of hypothermia when my tent buddy roused Teacher Agot from her tent. She got up even though it was an ungodly hour, and tended to me in the mess tent while I warmed up. Her survival tips made the cold bearable, and I was energized and thawed from the brink of real danger in no time. She even sacrificed our store of butane tanks for the portable stove just to keep me warm. She's the kind of dedicated tour master who would even take off her own scarf and give it to you just so you'd stay warm and comfortable. I'd probably be dead by now if it weren't for Teacher Agot and Ate Odel, who kept my morale up and helped me through the night.
