This review is for the Green Line:…read more Metro has been making moves and strides in providing mass transits. I think having this train route to/from LAX is a step in the right direction. LA traffic can erode your soul and willpower, especially if you just got off a long flight. This is a much needed addition to connecting LAX to the public mass transit system. Whatever station you get on from, you need to get off at "Aviation/LAX." Then hop on "Shuttle G" for a short ride to your terminal. The train ride itself had some "interesting" individuals... some unique odors... the station itself had areas smelling like piss. If you're not in a rush, I would recommend it. You do need a TAP card to load a 1-way fare. Still an affordable way to get out of and into LAX. The shuttle can get crowded, so I wouldn't recommend taking a lot of luggage.

Public transportation could alleviate some of the 105/605 traffic and help the overall environment, but we're left with what we have. The public transportation in California is dysfunctional. This station (and most others in the GreenLine) is dirty and rarely cleaned. Most of the trash generated is just from homeless or inconsiderate people, so it is constantly getting trashed. (I feel bad for the custodians.) To deter homeless people from camping here, there are no bathrooms, chairs are uncomfortable to sit on, trashcans are limited, and it is open to the harsh environment. As of the time of this writing, the price to enter is $1.75 one way. If you get on the wrong train/direction, you can always just transfer for free if you tap. But also, no one pays because there is hardly any enforcement, and some of the entrance scanners are broken. Most commuters are regular people just trying to get to work, but you will always have that one mentally ill, inconsiderate, or homeless person who causes a nuisance during your ride every once in a while. Expect to encounter one of them, so you don't get completely shocked when it happens. This station takes you to LAX if that is your main destination. I only take the train because my work pays for it, so it is free for me. I just wish it were cleaner and comfortable to ride public transportation here in the US.

You can park in either one but you'll need to take the bridge depending on your travel direction. All vehicles parking at the Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs Metrolink Station are required to display a Daily, Monthly Day or Month/Day Overnight Parking Permit. Parking fee is $5 Monday-Friday. Permit parking is required everywhere. You will need to use the kiosk to pay for daily parking which takes a good long minute to use and then walk back to your car to display the ticket on your dashboard. The kiosks are located on the West outside the parking structure and the the East parking lot by the curb drop off. After that you will need to go walk toward the train tracks to buy your tickets. Tickets prices vary between weekday and weekends. Your car will be safe here since there police cars patrolling always. There weren't any homeless people walking around. I'm knocking off two stars because there's nobody there to help you with questions and parking is confusing. Everywhere it says employees parking or permit parking on the West Parking lot. Lastly, there is only one METROLINK Orange County train going South during the weekday before noontime. If you are going there your first time allow an extra 20 min to sort through all the confusion. Pro tip park on the East parking lot which has probably 300-400 empty spots.

I bought my ticket on the app and if you're like me the overnight parking is $5 and they sell the ticket at the kiosk machine. Track 1 currently goes to DTLA and track 4 side goes south to OC. There's plenty of parking in the lot (uncovered) when you turn on transportation center off of imperial. There's no workers here although they make announcements and have small marquees on both sides of the tracks.
