4 stars is pushing it for me but 3 stars would not be enough either. This place definitely seems like a local favorite. Super cute design, fun, menu items, great drink selection, and great stuff with great personality. Prices seemed a little high, but we were willing to give it a shot. We were just passing through and somebody recommended this place. It was cute to see all the locals come in with their cups and I noticed that it was lifetime refills. Great way to keep people coming back in. I really liked how intricate the ingredients of some of the tacos were. It made it seem like it was something out of this world. Let me start off by saying the tortillas definitely tasted store-bought. They weren't fresh homemade tortillas. The meat in the tacos and the burrito was very minimal considering the price of all the dishes. I definitely felt like I was eating more fillers than the main star of the dish. I ordered a fried avocado taco which I couldn't taste the avocado at all. There literally was a fourth of an avocado on my taco. My grilled shrimp taco and was OK but it almost 4 dollars a taco, It wasn't worth the extra. Now their specialty brisket taco had a nice sauce that was really flavorful. All the flavors married together nicely but again I tasted more sauce than meat. My son ordered the burrito and he had so many bites that were just tortilla. It was sad. The rice and beans were nothing to write home about. Nothing stood out about them. We asked for salsa, we were given the salsa, but told that we should've asked for it before hand so they could've charged us for it. I love my tacos. I love breakfast tacos, Cali, tacos, Mexico, tacos, Tex-Mex, tacos, any and all. I just wasn't highly impressed with these. And a real shame for me because the ambience and all the cute sayings and the colors just screamed cool. And like I said, this seems like a local hotspot. It's not really off the main road so I hope they continue to enjoy their place. Sorry it just wasn't our thing. Again the concept and the ordering staff are what made this experience to get a four-star. read more

We ordered a taco platter with cilantro rice and beans. The rice and beans were all mixed together. Once;. I dug the beans out they were hard and dry. The next order we thought we ordered the chicken fajita tacos like in the picture. What we got was a foil wrapped soggy taco with pieces of a corn tortilla. First time in today. Spent 18 for lunch. Chicken Quesadillas were ok. Paid for chips and queso. I would have to say save your money and eat at a regular Mexican restaurant instead of fast food. We highly recommend Fuzzy's in Brownwood! They catered a nacho bar for our daughter's wedding, and it was a huge hit! Everyone seriously loved it. We had plenty of food for our guests, and everything tasted fabulous! The owner even personally came to make sure everything went well. The price was reasonable for what we got, the food was excellent and all the right temperature, delivery was on time and it all went as expected. Never been to the one in Brownwood until today. I won't be going back. Ordered the brisket quesadilla, thinking it would be stuffed with meat. Wrong. This was the section with the most meat, and that's pretty sad. But after taking a few bites, I was almost wishing they'd left the meat off. I'm pretty sure they microwaved it for too long, it was so rubbery it was inedible. C'mon Fuzzys, you can do better. Does the one in Stephenville need to show you how it's done? read more

I love a good Fuzzy's. But this isn't it. Parking is a nightmare. The food is below average. Chips are always stale. Queso is always cold. And the tacos taste like they came outa the microwave. They should really look into having a manager from a more experienced Fuzzy's take over before it fails. The line moves pretty slow and it just isn't worth the wait. read more

I had such high hopes. The aesthetic is good - but the food did not match. Very overdone protiens in the tacos I ordered. Seems they are still trying to figure it out. The manager looked lost, and uninterested in service. Neat setting - but you can have all the bows and whistles and not deliver on food and you never regain for some. The margarita I ordered was undrinkable - not sure what they are using for a mix - but this needs work. Nice people - but they have work to do. I hope they can get it worked out. I had been to other Fuzzy's in Texas and they really seemed to deliver - this must be an owner or management issue. I will try it again - but they need to hit the mark or it won't last long under present set up. I hate writing such a review. read more

I'm not sure what kind of armadillo meat they use but my wife almost kicked me out the house bc of the Oder coming out of my body. It took me a month to recover and the place was pretty dirty . Nothing like a Fuzzys to shake things up in Brownwood!! I have tried our newest location (here in Brownwood) 3 times now and it surpasses my expectations every time. The queso with taco meat is to die for, the quesadilla is just perfect and that FuzzyDriver, maaan!. Service staff is friendly, food is great. This is a place for street tacos with cotija cheese instead of cheddar, borracho or black beans, and very good queso blanco with seasoned chips. Fish and shrimp tacos are awesome- try the California Heat. read more
