He took the car on I-70. He said nothing is wrong with my car. The TPMS light was on so he reset that. Next day it was back on. He said if he didn't see it he couldn't fix it. I know they changed owners a while back, sadly. A few days ago I had a bad noise coming from the front of my car, serpentine belt related. One of the idler pulleys came off while driving there. I left it for an estimate. Well, I get a call the next day and they quote me 2 prices. With bad pulleys and belt - $527 With tensioner, all pulleys, and belt $1,157. I was gobsmacked. Im on social security so i told them no and picked up after paying the diagnostic fee. I have always worked on my own cars until i turned 69,, lol. Decided to do it myself. Gates Serpentine Kit $325. Turns out it is an easy job on my Infiniti G37X. Less than an hour start to finisn. I know garages charge more on parts but even if kit was $600 that would be $550 for labor. Like i say i know everything is more expensive. Seems like they want timing belt replacement prices for a serpentine belt. I need recommendations for a new shop.

We have taken the best care of it wanting it to last many years. In 2022 the paint started peeling off overnight in sheets on the top of the car. We took it to Toyota who told us they would fix it. They had the car 3-4 days and only repainted the very top of the car where the sunroof was. Last year the hood started peeling in the same way. I took the car to Scott's custom colors and he offered to paint it for $500. So I did the hood out of my own pocket. Now the back passenger door is peeling and I'm being quoted $2500.00 by several places to get this piece fixed. Toyota tells me the time limit for fixing this for them is up to this was a problem with the paint color blizzard pearl. It doesn't stick properly to the car. They have known about this issue for years. Many of their cars made before 2018 had this issue. Why didn't they paint the whole car when the issue began and I took it to them the first time or at the very least help me fix it now? I was told it would cost $10,000 to repaint my whole car. My car is basically ruined. Toyota has brushed me off. When I took the car in for them to take pictures, they told me they would get back to me within 2 weeks. They were going to check into fixing it. They never called and Fred the general manager of service never sent the pictures in. They arent interested in helping.
