And I was impressed. I should say as a disclaimer though, don't come expecting some 5 star level cooking, if you are looking for that, you shouldn't be looking for a volunteer cooked meal anyway. But the ladies cooking here really did it up right. I had the boneless fillets, which were fresh, skin on, crispy and hot. Other main courses that were available were a whole fried fish, crab cakes and shrimp. With each main course you get 2 sides (macaroni, french fries, corn bread, green beans). I went for the macaroni and green beans and YUM. You also get a cute little juice box with it, so hey, why not. Everything I had was damn good, it felt like I was back in Michigan.. almost. One thing that really put St. Augustine's Fish Fry over the top though, was that THEY TAKE CREDIT CARDS. It is so rare for a church to do something like this for a cheap meal, but I was stoked. And better yet, the whole kitten caboodle cost $9. I shall be back friends, but only for your fish.. I am not convinced to come back for religious services quite yet.

She has friends from different countries and they look at each other as the same. I love her teachers, Ms. Watson and Ms. Moore. They felt more like family than professional educators. My daughter LOVES this school, and I drove 30 minutes to go here every morning, it's definitely worth it! As a single parent, I want the best for my family, and this school is one of the best things I could have chosen for my child.

The…read morestaff is slow to respond to concerns, and the after-school program is expensive and ineffective in coordinating activities and subsidies for military families. Bullying is rampant among the children, and the school leadership allows it. Suppose you try to bring up any concerns to the principal (Principal Shanna Young). In that case, she is very aggressive, sharp-tongued, dismissive, angry, and too busy trying to defend herself instead of prioritizing the children to resolve any issues at the school. This needs to be evaluated because the DC Public school system is doing the children underneath her a disservice under her leadership. She is the worst principal I have dealt with in over 20 years. She keeps spaces off limits to parents, supporting bullying and predators in the school. This is one of the worst schools I have dealt with in Washington, DC. They do not keep kids that need help being protected from the multiple bullies the principal lets fester in this school environment. If you have a good child, I would be skeptical about putting them in this environment to learn and deal with. The lack of concern by this principal (Principal Shanna Young) has me deeply concerned about my child's and other children's safety in the school. I would not recommend this school to anyone if she is still the principal. Indeed, it was a significant disappointment.

Since it had been sometime that I had last graduated, I was looking for some real guidance in helping me prepare for the exam. After my usual exhaustive search online, I came upon Griffon Prep and decided to give them a shot. I went to the first session with Jeff and was immediately sold on this place. Both Jeff and Bernie are awesome people and great teachers. I had a good learning experience with them. I did end up with a much better score than what I had anticipated and cannot thank Bernie enough for her coaching. I did get accepted to a couple of good schools on my list!! I would recommend Griffon to anyone who is looking for test prep - great location, good fees, and awesome instructors!

They legitimately care about the success of their students. Indeed, even after law school, I have stayed in touch with them. Their teaching methodology is wonderful, very hands on, and kept me thoroughly engaged. As an experiential learner, this worked really well for me. I also would like to highlight that I took multiple courses with Griffon Prep and each time, I loved the other teachers as well as the other students. I think it is a testament to Bernie and Jeff that they cultivate such a collaborative and positive learning environment. Also, for those who care only for results, my LSAT score went up double digits (I also took their GRÉ course and also improved significantly).
