Our couch was in great shape and the initial reconditioning was fine, but the sealant the owner recommended--without proper explanation--completely changed the feel of the leather and now feels plasticky. We reached out for a fix; he responded but never followed through. We're disappointed that an otherwise good couch now has to be replaced. read more

Frank did a good job on the repair...promised a 30 day warranty. A hole appeared 10 days later. He would not return calls or texts. I finally disputed the charge with credit card. I am still waiting for him to do as he promised. read more

My grandmother's beautiful table with elephants on the legs was damaged during a move. So glad that I found Nikita. He came to the storage site to do an initial inspection for no fee. The repair process was short and he actually showed me some of the steps for restoration and how he has learned them over time. He has been doing this since he was a child (family business), and the experience shows! Highly recommend. read more

Frank is a miracle worker. Two, red, Italian leather, most comfortable chairs every, showed every bit of 30 years wear. Faded, dry, dirty - now they look like NEW.. Frank was careful, respectful and very professional. An amazing restoration for a very fair price. You will not be disappointed in his skill. read more

Frank did an excellent job on my two leather recliners. The leather had yellowed from skin oil and now they look brand new. He also told us how to maintain the great finish that he put on the leather and left us samples of the product that he reccommends. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! Frank made repairs to our leather sofa and loveseat which had several worn spots. A couple weeks later the repair showed signs of failing so we contacted Frank to come back out and take a look. He did the repair again as it was still under warranty. I was concerned that the repair would fail again but he assured me that it would be fine. Again within 2-3 weeks the repair failed and the finish was coming off. I had a little trouble getting in touch with him because he wasn't answering his phone or responding to texts. He finally got back with me and said he had a new product that he would try. During the third attempt at repairing our furniture, Frank mentioned that he may have to refund my money in the event that the repair failed again. At this point he seemed like a reputable guy especially the fact that he brought up the potential refund. Needless to say, the repair failed a third time so I attempted to contact Frank and got no response. I called and left numerous messages and texts over the course of about a month and got NO RESPONSE!! I tried to contact him with other phones because he screens his calls for obvious reasons, no answer or return call. It was evident at this point that he had ghosted me and was dodging me because he knew he was going to be asked to honor his warranty. Seemed like a nice guy but in the end he turned out to be dishonest contractor only interested in getting paid with no sense of responsibility in doing the right thing. I reported him to the Better Business Bureau and they made several attempts at contacting him but he never responded, big surprise lol. Hind sight is 20/20 and looking back, the fact that he only communicates by cell phone and screens his calls is a huge red flag!! If he sees that the customer is not satisfied, he simply blocks you and moves to the next! read more

Frank Olivas, owner of Furniture Restoration, is a leather sofa reconditioning artist. I appreciated that he came out to our house to give us an estimate in person, after first asking me to send photos. The other company I called provided an estimate by photos only. When Frank examined our sectional, he pointed out other areas where, because the protective coating of the leather had worn off, the color was rubbing off. He also pointed out a really disgusting area of scalp oil that had accumulated on one of the back cushions. His estimate was high, but we spent a lot on our several year old Ladlow's sectional and I wanted to bring it back as close to new as possible. He has this amazing toolbox of colors and airbrush and other tools and he was very careful and skilled. We also had him restuff all the cushions, which made a big difference in the shape. Anyway, we are very impressed with the results and recommend him wholeheartedly. read more

Frank did a great job restoring our leather sectional! Before there was color fading and scratches as well as dry leather. When he was finished it looked good as new. Plus he explained how to clean and condition and left a kit of materials. All for a price considerably below the other manufacturer recommended vendor. He also did a great job for a friend. And it passed the Mrs. test when she got home - happy wife happy life! read more

We have a beige leather sectional we share with three large dogs whom we love. I sent Frank photos and he came back with a quote. We scheduled him the next week (April 5th) and he did a fantastic job of cleaning and conditioning our couch of ten years. We are very happy with the results! Highly recommend not only based on the results but on the professionalism provided by Frank. I called another company recommended on Nextdoor and the guy was very rude and very critical of our decision to allow our dogs on our couch and the fact we had not had it professionally cleaned in the past. Frank was nothing but kind and respectful. We will be using him again, also appreciate the fact he told us how to maintain the couch for a year and recommended another professional cleaning in a year he didn't try to sell any additional services we didn't need. read more

Was excited to have Frank resurrect my sofa. Sent my pictures. No response, but then I got him on the phone. He gave me a quote, then followed up by text to set the appointment. Sent my address to get a day/time. No response. Guess he's too busy. So tired of begging people to let me pay them. read more

I have a light colored leather sectional in my den and unfortunately a large area on one arm was damaged. The top layer was literally "picked off". I wasn't at all certain it could be repaired but after many texts and pictures back and forth Frank assured me I would be happy. And was I ever! You cannot see where the repair was done. He very carefully mixed the correct color to redye the damaged area and then resealed it. He then cleaned and conditioned the entire sectional. Frank is an artist. He is not inexpensive but when I think what it would have cost to replace the entire piece from Creative Leather he was a bargain!! I also had him clean two fabric club chairs in my living room. He also added stuffing to the cushions and they literally look like new! Have definitely added life to two chairs I am not quite ready to replace yet. You will not be sorry if you call Frank. It does take a little to hear back from him but once we set a date he was very prompt and spent a lot of time in my home. Thank you Frank! read more

I requested a quote from a number of places to fix my sagging sofa and this was the cheapest. I was nervous that I may be getting what I paid for and should go to the pricier companies. No need to be nervous! They made my sofa new again! It would sag horribly that people would sit in awkward angles and it just was not comfortable for my guests. You know it's bad when they chose a dining room chair. The service was also phenomenal. I received a text letting me know they were on their way and they fixed my sofa in an hour. They checked the springs and all possible factors that would cause me problems so I'm glad I had a professional look at it rather than going on youtube and doing it myself. Well worth the money! read more

If you want to throw away your money , hire Frank Olivas . We hired him to refill our worn sectional cushions and seat backs . Instead of removing the old materials , he merely added 1" of new material on top of the old . Yes it improved the shape of the seats , but for how long ? There was significant staining in the leather from body oils , etc over a long period of use . I didn't expect it to look new after treatment , but I did expect some improvement . There was none whatsoever . He conditioned the leather after "cleaning" it , and I will give him credit for doing that part acceptably . But the entire project cost $700.00 - WAAAAAAAY over priced in my judgement , and he has not replied at all to my emails about my dissatisfaction. Steer clear , unless you have money to burn . read more
