We hadn't even entered the store and was looking at the display at the front only to be growled at by the lady to not touch anything, then shoved in front of us were we we looking at bags. She really made us feel uncomfortable so we backed away and then she stood in front of the little doorway, so it was clear to us that we weren't allowed to enter. No smile, no hello. The worst service ever!!!! So we went elsewhere and bought our 8bags. Your loss. Your bad attitude. Don't waste your time going!!!!

It seems very coincidental that these hidden reviewers had the exact same bad experience that I did when trying to go to the store and the only reviews that easily appear are the good ones. My family and I arrived at 2:50pm on a Wednesday afternoon via taxi, specifically aiming to buy authentic Italian leather bags to bring back home. When we got there however, the bags were out on display, but the entrance was blocked with two chairs and a cardboard tube. The woman inside was on the phone and very abrasive, shooing us away and claiming that she was not open until 3. From what I could see, it's a little hole in the wall with only a handful of unfashionable (and not vey soft looking) boring leather pieces. I echo the sentiment that it was not worth the trek.

The Rolls Royce of Menswear and fashion with equally superb customer service…read more High end mens fashion noted for their handmade shoes but equally adept with suits, clothing, and accessories--such as wallets, leather briefcases, and so much more. Not only is their workmanship top notch, but their vibrant choice of colors makes wearing any article of clothing or shoes from this shop the equivalent of wearing a piece of artwork. Though I purchased my beautiful pair of San Lorenzo loafers in the USA, I stopped by this store, after having spent a tortorous week navigating the cobblestone streets of Rome, to see if they could touch up my shoes....after dropping my shoes off in the morning I returned to pick them up that afternoon and Berluti did such a good job treating my loafers they looked as though they were brand new. I insisted on paying and/or giving a tip for services rendered, but GianLuca absolutely refused to accept any money. Talk about customer service and making me a loyal customer going forward. When I do return to Italy and am in the market for a new pair of high end and eye catching shoes, it is good to know that shoes can be bought in Italy at a 20-25% discount to US prices and that is before the 12% VAT discount at the airport applies. If you are in the market for shoes, clothing, wallet, briefcase that will set you apart from everybody else, Berluti is your store to come to. Bellisimo.

We were there for 6 days and this was the worst experience of our trip. When I inquired about a scratch on a bag, the owner made it seem like I had made it and got extremely defensive on a simple question. The quality of goods is extremely subpar. I wish I had read other recent reviews before entering this shop.

Do not purchase goods from this shop…read more I bought a leather rucksack bag last October cost €300. As it was winter on my return to the UK I only started using it in April of this year. After two uses the green coating started to wear and the base leather show through. I contacted Stefano at the shop who totally dismissed my issues and said I'd left it soaking in water which was completely outrageous given I spent a huge amount of money! He tried to sell my another bag but refused to acknowledge any problem. I am left with an expensive bag which cannot be restored without significant cost. This is an outdoor bag which should be resilient and strong enough to cope with weather conditions not something for display in a glass case. I bought an Italian product assuming quality and got a very poorly manufactured item rubbish quality and a complete rip off. No acknowledgement of customer issues and no customer service. If you are looking to buy proper Italian craftsmanship look elsewhere.
