Went to watch a show here for a hen party. We was treat like VIP! Waiter to our table, show was fabulous and had a great sing along. Drinks were a little expensive but what do you expect for Blackpool town prices. I would go watch another show in a hearty ! read more

STILL NO ANSWER FROM DEAN BENNETT. AVOID spent over £100+ on tickets, booked seats together in advance and over the phone to then turn up on the day and told we can't all sit together in a booth that we'd booked. They had 2 hours to sort this out and nothing was sorted, I then got told by Wayne to contact Box Office to get a full refund as we couldn't sit together and watch the show, this was the 4th November, well over 4 weeks ago and STILL NO REFUND and even worse, no response that I was told I'd get on the 30th November. Absolute SHAM OF A PLACE. I'm still waiting to hear from Dean Bennett and I'm still waiting for my refund. This will not be dropped, I am livid at the kind of "customer service" they do not provide. read more

Last night 18.05.2019 I went to funny girls with a number of ladies for a hen do. When we got there, the tickets weren't even looked at by the staff to tell us where to go. We seated and got drinks, after about half an hour Selene ceover to explain that we were seated in the VIP area and we had standing tickets. No where did it say the difference in the tickets, so we moved. As I was moving, I asked the worker could I have a stool because I'm pregnant and didn't want to stand for the next 4 hours as we'd already had a day doing other things and I felt tired and was struggling in pain with my back and hips. He said I could ask for one from the staff at the bar. I spoke to one of the bar staff who was lovely and explained they probably wouldn't give me one but they would ask anyway. She went to the manager and asked could I have a stool. The Manager refused and said no because the floor gets really busy and there's no room. The woman says there were some couches right in the corner with not much view of what's going on and being split up from everyone else. One of the girls in the 25 strong group asked for a stool for me from the Manager again. Which he refused AGAIN! The floor standing didn't get too busy for me to sit down on a stool at the bar and watch. I could have sat down with lots of room for other people as it wasn't particularly busy. I think it's disgusting how a Manager can refuse a pregnant woman a stool to sit on and watch the show which was paid for! I ended up leaving 15 minutes into the show because of the struggle to cope. You may be thinking 'why did a pregnant woman go on a hen do?' But why shouldn't I? I'm a bridesmaid for the bride, it was also paid for before finding out I was pregnant. read more

Funny Girls, a drag cabaret burlesque showbar is a wonderful night out, especially for a special occasion. The cabaret is both wonderfully performed (to a West End standard) with beautiful costumes and sets, but also really hilarious at times! The compère, "DJ Zoe" keeps the songs coming, and keeps us entertained and amused. The decor is beautiful, in a traditional 1930's inspired art deco style. The drinks are good, and a little pricy, but no more so than other similar venues nearby. It's a good fun night which I'd recommend to anyone, as it's not a "gay bar" or anything, as people from all walks of life and all ages come along, but people should note that it can have the occasional "saucy" bit of cabaret, and a few rude jokes. read more

The Best Night out in Blackpool if you want some Lighthearted entertainment and are up for a laugh. Funny Girls is a Drag Queen Bar offering live caberet style shows throughout the night. They have the Best Barmaids who will always put on an impromptu performance while you wait for a drink - dont expect a quick service they are primarily there to entertain you! The caberet productions are well staged and a laugh a minute, with lots of singing and dancing and saucy Jokes. Funny Girls is a great place for a Hen Party or a Girls Night out. read more

Funny Girls is the best-value, highest-quality night out in Blackpool. Pay a small entry fee and you get an evening of quality entertainment for next to nothing. You have to choose if you want to stand - and there's no seating at all - or sit higher up in the seating area. It depends on whether you can bear to be on your feet all night! Personally I prefer to sit but it's an even cheaper night out if your legs can stand it. The resident drag DJ will take requests but be very careful of her caustic comments and DO NOT try to and video the show with your mobile - she WILL notice and she will very publically humiliate you! You can have pictures taken and turned into a keyring if you like - the drag queens are always happy to pose for pictures! Although this isn't a gay venue as such, it is gay-friendly and very popular with gay people so best not to attend if you find that offensive! And I'm sorry but I HAVE to say to the previous reviewer - if you didn't want to watch men dressed up as women, why did you go to Funny Girls in the first place? Funny Girls is a great place to go in Blackpool as is built as part of a gay complex, having moved from a smaller venue of which I visited years ago. The new Funny Girls is bigger, brighter and more entertaining than it ever was before. It is housed in an old cinema and the art deco is still incorporated into the surroundings. Betty Legs Diamond is a real star is every sense of the word, having recently performed on the Royal Variety Show. There is an option to have a meal before the show and to keep your table throughout the night, giving you the best seat in the house. I would recommend this option as later on, the standing room only option becomes very crowded. read more

This is a dance show with lady boys . Gorgeous , stunning boys dressed as girls. This can be booked with a 3 course meal for 16 pounds extra. which gives you table service or like we did pay 8 pounds standing. I still cant believe we paid 8 pounds each to get in to see this show. The dancers are so professional it gave me goose bumps when they did their high kicks so effortlessly, its incredible, its funny , I cant praise it enough!! From outside it looks like a Theatre and when you go through the doors its just a great fun vibe. Zoe the hostess takes song requests from the audience throughout the night and they alternate the requests with the dancing girls and boys on stage. We stood at the bar and the stage was right in front of us. Really we had the best seat in the house. The staff are all dressed gorgeously, happy to have photos taken. Drinks are reasonably priced. A very classy establishment . Zoe is hysterically funny and the dancers are amazing. One of the best shows Ive been to , i think they should charge more!!! read more

Really can not see what the attraction is watching men prancing around in skirts and wearing female clothing and makeup,. I found it a little sinister .. maybe it has some appeal to the Gay community .. sorry not for me read more

Funny Girls has got to be the best and funniest night out that Blackpool has to offer.Its basically a drag bar but its much more than that and its all done so well and so tastefully that no-one could possibly take offence.During the night there are regular shows on the stage when the bar staff perform.Its a big draw with hen and stag nights and can get very busy but well worth the struggle to get in read more

This is a fantastic night out - The girls are just fab! It's excellent all round and superb value for money. The girls finish at 11pm but the bar that's also there stays open till the early hours. Don't go out in Blackpool without visiting this place. read more

Have been to Funny Girls on 2 occasions and both times the show was first class. The entertainers are of a quality that would enhance any show in the West End. Am returning to Blackpool in August and shall definately be attending Funny Girls during that stay. Keep up the good work. read more
