Big exhibition space that hauls in some impressive shows. The place itself is super-easy to find once you've arrived from the Recoletos Cercanias station.
I brought a very large group of people here and we experienced no problem entering the space. At the time of writing, the exhibition is a Henri Cartier-Bresson retrospective. It's phenomenal. Over 300 images and another 200+ pieces (documents, drawings, and paintings), so it's kind of a sensory overload. Perhaps it was that, or perhaps it was the gallery's layout, but I was exhausted after two hours inside.
That's the one nitpicky thing I have to say about this space: it's a bit of a labyrinth. Yes, there are attendants in each room and yes, the signage is there, but still it's easy to get turned around and lost, especially when your mind's been transported by the art.
As entry was free, that bit of dizziness was easy to stomach. I don't know about the space, but this exhibition's a MUST SEE if you're a photography fan. These are the images that comprise the absolute spine of 20th century social photography. read more
