They have instructors who are really good at encouraging you when you're new at Pilates, and instructors who will give you the kick in the pants you need to get to the next level. They have a lot of different group classes at various times of the day. Everyone there is great about asking how you're feeling and helping you adapt to any injuries or problems you have. Good form and not getting injured is a big focus for them, which I really appreciate. I sometimes do pilates in other cities when I travel, and it always reminds me how lucky we are to have Pure in Asheville.

Having moved back to my hometown I wasn't ready to jump right in and join my parents old country club.......plus at $10K+ joining fee and $400 per month just to swim in a country club pool I was like.........uh............no thank you. Plus, my apartment building doesn't have a pool, so I do enjoy a dip a few times a week to relax and get a little vitamin D. The JCC does just that starting from Memorial Day to Labor Day for just a little over $200. With plenty of lounge chairs and grills to cook out, plus a nice sized changing/bathroom/shower room/locker room it has want I needed at the right price. It appears from the few times I have been there so far to be mostly family with kids...........which is fine as I see pools a lot like gyms.......NOT the place to try and meet single people of the opposite sex but to do only what you came there to do............and for me that is soak up the sun.
