I…read morelike this store as it is new, modern and one of the biggest Co-Op Food stores with easy access to the city centre. The store is clean, modern and well laid out, and the selection is pretty good in most areas. I did find the selection of to-go food and pre-bottled beverages to be disappointing, but the selection of groceries including dairy, general cupboard items, toiletries and alcohol was very good for a convenience store. There are a few machines in the store too, offering coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, slushies and even a station to fill up your water bottle. The checkout area was spacious and had manned and self-service checkouts. I would have liked to see a mobile scanning and payment system, Co-Op seems to be behind the likes of Sainsbury's and Marka and Spencer on that front. Prices are a little high but not much more than the average Co-Op or any convenience store for that matter. Students can get 10% off through TOTUM which is handy, and having a Co-Op loyalty card also gets you some nice offers too. Other facilities offered by the store include parcel collection for various other retailers such as John Lewis and Amazon. They also have a DPD Pick Update point which is quite handy. 4*- A very good store with lots of positives, and a welcomed addition to Media City, even if it does come at the expense of the old Booths store that I loved.

I am pretty much an Iceland convert. Not for everything, and in fact, only for a few select items, like their Deluxe Banoffi Cheesecake (£3), or their Garlic Bread Baguettes (2 for £1 - and oh my god this is the best, most buttery and juicy garlic bread you'll ever eat), or for Quorn mince. I like how all the frozen food is in multiples of a pound. It makes adding up easier. Although there aren't many tills, I've never been here when it's been very busy, so haven't had to queue for long even with one till open. The store itself is clean and well stocked, and I like the layout. I also like that it is next door to a massive Netto.

The shop is clean and quite tidy although it is small and hard to get around. The staff seem quite helpfull although you can be waiting a while for service. Although Iceland does provide fruit,veg,tinned and fridge items there isn't a wide range of choice. I love the party platters they do for five pounds and will be stocking up this Christmas, the food doesn't taste that bad. I don't find the staff very welcoming and as most of them live near that Iceland they gossip to people they know while there serving people which i think is rude. The only bonus is that when you have done a shop if you dont have a car they will deliver it to your door providing you have a bonus card and spend over twenty five pounds. Only good for freezer bits but I guess thats all Iceland is about.

It's really a treat shop, selling the junk food section of a newsagent without the kitchen cupboard essentials. Great if you're in the area and have a bit of a sugar craving, or need a caffeine hit and you're not too picky when it comes to coffee - and for 65p for a large coffee you can't really complain. Due to the size of the shop however, there isn't a great deal of choice so if you can only stomach sea salt and coarse ground black pepper Kettle Chips or Green & Blacks' Maya Gold then you're unlikely to be a fan of Take a Break!
