We live in the same dam house and our bank accounts are with you. What risk are you taking? We've paid lots in interest over the years and have been faithful. With our home equity paid shortly they're about to lose very good, loyal customers for playing shenanigans with my money. When an entity takes control of your funds outside of the law I say they are overstepping, and theyre breaking the law, and they are treating their customers like a pile of scat. Santander bank in Schuylkill Haven have wonderful staff, but the bank is horrific.. their policies are terrible and I suspect that this bank is under some regulatory violations because their policies are not customer friendly.. I cannot do Business there.. I had two events of hacking at this bank, one due to transfer money out and the other a year later... I was asked to leave this bank...Good Luck. I got an email from the mortgage company that they did not receive my payment for October. I thought it was a scam because it's not like I mail checks. It's an automatic withdrawal from my account. I checked my bank account on line and saw the money had been withdrawn from my account. It had not come back for any reason, therefore, I was sure it was a scam now. Anyway, I called the mortgage company to make sure it wasn't a scam. The mortgage company assured me the last payment they received was in September and directed me back to Santander. So I called them spoke to Melissa, who saw the money came out of my account, she also mentioned that she didn't see any changes that should have prevented the payment from going through. I told her, I know nothing changed so why wasn't my mortgage paid? She said, "I don't know. The money was taken from your account, but it's just sitting there." Then she said, "There's two things I can do, put the money back into your account or stop payment and reissue." I said, "By the time you stop payment and reissue, I will incur a late fee and take a hit on my credit report for paying late." Then she gave me a big song and dance about them reimbursing me if I got a late fee after I provided proof that I was charged, because the mortgage should have been paid. I said, "This is not a Macy's bill we're talking about, it's my mortgage and I have excellent credit how can you fix that on my credit report." I said, "Put my money back, I'll call the mortgage company and pay by phone because I only have 2 days to make the payment before a late fee applies." They couldn't even tell me when the money would be back in my account. Really!!!!! I told them, I wanted something in writing as to why this happened. I am still waiting. My advice is choose any bank other than Santander.

It takes them more than 2 weeks to make a loan decision that Suntrust makes in 10 minutes or Riverfront FCU makes in 5. When I went to borrow funds they were paying 1% on my CD's but offering interest rates on the loan from 9% to 11%. Outrageous. If you, only speak English, don't have a beard, wear week old clothes and drive a buggy they do not want your business. Surprised they have been in business this long.

It's a savings account, I have total access to my money, no long term tie up. I need to maintain a minimum balance of $10k. If I go below the minimum balance, the interest quits accumulating at the 3.92%. As soon as I get the balance back above the minimum, 3.92% begins again. They are also offering 4.59% APY on their 24 month CD. If you prefer a more digital banking experience Bank of Bird in Hand has an App for your smart phone that is very easy to use. Yesterday was a good day for us. We were looking for a better more personal banking experience. We wanted to have someone we can meet with and answer our questions. I went to deposit money into my local lykens banks atm and the atm froze with my card locked in it…read more I Luckily have a friend who works as a teller there and was able to call her and she called her boss who was nice enough to come back to the bank and restart the whole system for it. After it reset she stayed longer to make sure it wasn't going to mess up again so I could deposit the money. Both ladies were very helpful.
