I don't write reviews often, but when I do, it's because I've had an exceptional experience. I took…read moremy grandmother in for a hearing assessment because her hearing loss has been very obvious and frustrating for friends, family, and of course, herself. She was extremely reluctant to go, and would not even listen the words "hearing aid" without a fight. Understandably, the potential cost and emotional impact that hearing loss has on a person can be painful and scary. Needless to say, Dr. Curtin's approach and patient care skills were amazing. Through information, conversation, and genuine CARE and empathy, she empowered my grandmother to feel that she had a choice, and helped her truly understand how much "healthy" hearing could improve her safety and quality of life and how hard she was working when she didn't need to be. By the time she left, my grandmother rated her curiosity about hearing aids at an 8/10.... she walked in at a 0/10. We are so grateful for this progress and I know that the provider we saw would make or break how my grandmother would react to the experience. We BOTH walked out smiling, with more knowledge and a renewed sense of hope. Somethibg tells me we will be back soon to evaluate the best hearing aid for my grandma :) Thank you, Dr. Curtin!

Please read the entire recommandation to see that sentence. "As a client I can honestly say that this small family firm is the very best in the area! And for those who do do not take the time to check their bios, I will give you an idea of their qualifications. Judy is an internationally known PhD audiologist (who has taught, lectured, and written at the highest levels, Kim, also a Penn PhD audiologist, served a VP for Ed. Development for the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiologists, and Fran is a former SW engineer of the highest level (and I should know because I was a SW engineer for many years) who performs the critical task of tailoring a hearing aid to the exact needs of each individual client! On top of this, they treat each client as a family member."

My daughter has been going here for almost a year and it's been a positive experience all around.read more

Since the Doylestown location doesn't have a Yelp page, I believe this is the local HQ's location…read moreand I guess I'll leave my review here. My child attended for speech for approximately 7 months, we started in September 2020. The only spot that they had an opening for was in Doylestown even though we live in Willow Grove. They claimed that they'd put us on the waitlist for Horsham (as a side note, I literally got a call from Horsham in September 2021 to see if we were still interested in services, which was honestly laughable. A year? Yeah right.) First of all, the therapists were a mixed bag. They seemed to have quite high turnover and therefore, issues with scheduling. Scheduling overall is an absolute nightmare. If you're a working parent, good luck with this. There is no consistency whatsoever in the schedule. You have to call at 7:45 AM a MONTH before and it's literally like the Hunger Games to see if you can get a spot. It was a total nightmare for someone like me who would need to drive 40 minutes each way. Initially, we attended in person, but once one of the therapists tested positive for Covid and thereby exposed our child to it, we decided to go virtual. Initially, we had 60 minute sessions, but they tried switching us to 30 minute sessions - obviously to fit in more people. We agreed to that eventually, even though it cost us the same amount of money for our co-pay. The team approach isn't ideal either. They communicated between each other somewhat, but not well enough. One therapist in particular (who is no longer there) seemed to be quite impatient with young children and regularly chastized me for not coming back to in-person. Well, sorry that one of the therapists exposed my child to Covid and I'm not comfortable returning, and driving 80 minutes round-trip and needing to take personal time for that, in addition to the session... at random times throughout the week since your company offers no consistency... The people who work with insurance are also not the best at Theraplay. They gave us incorrect information MULTIPLE times, stating that our virtual coverage was expiring - when I called my insurance company, they had no idea what they were talking about. When I initially tried to get my child set up, the people who work with insurance at Theraplay were clueless and couldn't understand my insurance... which is Blue Cross Blue Shield... pretty normal IMO. We were told in April 2021 that they didn't have any availability at the moment for early morning and evening sessions for us, I guess I wasn't able to call at 7:45 AM every single day because oh, I have a full-time job. They kept offering us 2 PM, 3 PM, etc. We just could not make that work, and discontinued services after waiting about a month for a call to fit us in. We wondered at the time why they were so short-staffed and were having so much trouble finding new therapists, and now it makes sense... people probably don't want to work for them. Also, they kept promising us progress reports, and never sent us copies. We had to specifically ask for them at the end so that we could show them to the place we were transferring to. I found that bizarre. Overall, it was not a great experience for me as a parent dealing with Theraplay. This review isn't necessarily a reflection of the therapists who work there - as most of them did quite well with my child - it's a reflection of the company as a whole and the way that they do business. We've since found a place that is closer to us and actually offers consistent scheduling and allows your child to see the same therapist weekly.

A friend of my mom used to volunteer here years ago. So we were given a 20 minute tour and I was…read moreexcited for it. They offer various therapeutic services, and provide wonderful care. Lisa did an amazing job answering any questions we had. They really take the time to pay attention to detail throughout the entire property and services provided, all the way to the synthetic "dirt" used for the barn. They are very accommodating and inclusive. The facility is well kept, the property was immaculate. They try to accommodate all their patients and needs. I was able to see a few therapists in action. They were all very kind, and knowledgeable. The volunteers are amazing as well. Without them Quest would suffer I am sure. It takes a lot of money to keep this operation going. So they do fundraisers. In the state I live in there is a place very similar to this. Their website has detailed information. I did screen shot some of their key points for all to see here. www.questtherapeutic.com

Used to love this place. If you have a special needs kid, don't go. They were great for years and…read morethen all of a sudden, all of the therapists kept quitting. They then had lots of billing problems. Which we paid for. Their new billing clerk is awful. They cancelled all their kids that had been going there for years and it got where I did not recognize a sole there, They didn't bill the insurance company for months and then when they did, and the insurance company did not pay, they left it to me to clean up their mess. I paid for the things they did not get paid on out of my pocket, even though they did not try to get it out of the insurance company like I had arranged. Thinking this was all of the old money that was owed on our account, they say we owed one amount in September and then when it came to our last visit in November, they suddenly found $360 extra dollars we owed them, in addition to all of the visits between September and November. When I pointed this out, the only response I got was to pay what I owed. I guess in 20 years if they come up with another billing item, I am supposed to pay that to. I definitely would not go back or ever recommend this place. P.S. They are not pediatricians.
