Both, my son and I have came here for training over the last 4 years and we will continue to do so. I have taken group fitness classes with Coach Jordan, but he has since moved out of state. My son has completed in the many sports camps that ATC offers, speed and agility training and personal training for kids at their facility in St. Cloud and more at the Hickory Tree Fields. It is an awesome program for kids to stay in shape and improve their footwork. My son loves coming, he has learned so much about form and exercise. Matt is very patient with any age child, dedicated, supportive and encouraging of the boys. It's one of my favorite places in St. Cloud! Before he has any of the boys/girls do any of the moves, he breaks it down in chunks for the kids to see and learn it. He takes his training very seriously and teaches his students the proper way to lift and do each movement. My son's personal favorites are pushing/pulling the sled with weights, battle ropes, burpees, ladder and the weights. Some of the training is done at the local football field, where most of the players play youth football. The owner of ATC, is Mat Baker. ATC stands for Above the Competition and they have a Facebook page, where he posts when the next trainings are timewise and location.

What can I say, the amount of classes offerings/times are unsurpassed, these guys even train on Christmas Day! The dedication that GBK has to teaching jiujitsu means it is a way of life, not just a hobby, very helpful to members that want to continually up their game and become the best they can be. The kid's program has the very most offerings for your money that we have seen across the US. These kids are serious champions, many of them training 6 days a week! My children left here with some very impressive jiujitsu that turns heads everywhere they go! GBK is a school that is the gold standard at the very top of the food chain, I'm confident when I say it is the VERY BEST Osss!!!!!

Picked Atos because Professor Chris himself answered the phone and sounded warm and inviting. The facility was not cramped and was clean and well lit. The culture was very positive with hand shakes, smiles, helpfulness and respect. They're fine with visitors being in colored Gi. Kids class was perfect for my kids, well stocked with white and grey belts and plenty of attentive coaches. Adult class was conveniently right after and I was well looked after both of our visits. Trained with brown, purple, and blue belts (a good mix), both sexes, and never felt unsafe. All-in-all I highly enjoyed our visit and my kids wanted to go back. Highly recommend!!! Thank you, Coach Chris!

Instructor Bullies Kids - Avoid This Place…read more This school claims to stand against bullying, but the main instructor is the bully. Instead of teaching or guiding, he singles out and humiliates young kids -- especially 5-6-year-old boys -- withholding belts and punishing them without ever showing them how to improve. It's not discipline, it's intimidation. The space is far too small for the number of students crammed in. There's no room to move, let alone train properly. Classes are overcrowded, chaotic, and mostly spent punching bags with no real instruction. They don't teach basics like round kicks or sit-ups, yet are quick to judge and punish. Private lessons aren't honored, classes rarely start on time, and sessions constantly bleed over. Instructors lack discipline, respect, and professionalism -- toward both kids and parents. They push cheap plastic "weapons" every month as gimmicks to sell, barely using them in class. Kids spend half the time standing around doing nothing. This place is all about locking you into contracts -- not about teaching martial arts. A total waste of time and money. Stay far away.
