Chef Yamamoto serves gorgeous dishes, which he prepares front of house for all to see. His broth is delicious and the tofu was meltingly soft. His signature of 'Griet' fish done 3 ways is a revelation. The jelly is given texture by the addition of Griet roe, and the sashimi of the same fish is lightly cured and seasoned by being pressed in seaweed for 24h. Wonderful dish where everything just works. Price and quality are startling with various appetisers and immaculate dishes coming your way before finishing with a plate of generous sushi. Otoro tuna, Unagi etc. we'll crafted, with his rice being exceptional. The staff is sweet and friendly, and due to the fact that the small team is just starting, you get the feel of eating a surprisingly excellent meal in someone's sitting room. Almost homely, if it weren't for the quality and technique displayed here. Definitely a place we'll be following.

During my holidays at my dutch cousin's, I knew that I was going to discover a lot of things. But I…read moredidn't imagine that I'd discover a new way to eat sushi... I looove sushi and Wendy hit the nail on the head by taking me there ! When we arrived, they gave me chopsticks for children ! I had never seen that before and I found this very clever... It's a system made with rubber bands not to twist your fingers with asian food (there is french DIY here http://www.commentfaiton.com/fiche/voir/86881/comment-fait-on-pour-trafiquer-des-baguettes-chinoises-simples-a-utiliser if you want to make your own) ! Then, the way of ordering is regulated by some rules : each can order 5 dish by tour, at the end of the tours if you waste a sushi or a hot dish : you have a 2€ penalty if I remember the cost ! And as I don't like wasting... I finished the sushi and rolls of everybody ! Results ? My belly doubled in size. Quickly, some fizzy water please ! To sum up, I really liked this concept, sushis are goods, even if the ginger that I love to eat with salmon, was not the best quality...

Both maki and nigiri are great, along with the wasabi and soy sauce. One can choose not to have wasabi with their sushi, which is always nice if someone has an allergy or doesn't like wasabi. The soy sauce itself is quite good, but different to regular ones, so it might take time to adjust to the taste. Other sauces are also great and taste good. The menu is varied and has a great selection, but if you want the best, ask the chef. Chefs choice is best. There is also take away, which is always perfect if you want to eat at home. Honestly, there aren't any negatives except that the restaurant is quite small. Everybody who has posted a bad review is probably an idiot who has never tasted good sushi before.
