I particularly love her class sequencing which is always intelligent and builds well. Classes are moderately paced but provide challenges for all levels. I always leave her classes feeling centered, inspired, and like I got everything I wanted out of them.

First change was the way they reconstructed the pool itself which is fine and it's still a hot Springs pool, which is wonderful. The view is amazing just to sit back relax and see the mountains surrounding you is like none other. However, their price has gone up since the 1980s. I believe we paid three or five dollars to get in now it's $30 per person for a day. They don't provide towels but they'll sell you a towel for $10 they don't provide lockers, but you can rent one for $.50 Like I said, I love the Hot Springs pool but it's expensive that's the worst thing I can say about it will I go again, ... 100% But bring $$.

We were checked in by a friendly lady who offered me a Veteran's discount. FWIW, currently, the prices charged seemed higher than those on the website, but lower than other soaking options. We brought our own towels and found a lounge chair to hold them. There are several pools and I was surprised to learn the lap pool is not geothermal water--cool city water there. The first pool was 88 degrees and designed for kids. Too chilly for me, but my son spent most of his time here playing water basketball and swimming around. Second pool was in the mid-90s and felt much better to me. I was also able to enjoy the 102 degree (about my threshold for being "hot") adults-only pool. Watching the pools and surrounding peaks as the sun set was awesome. Very nice. About these things were were stoked. We were not stoked to learn upon checkin that the slides had closed at 6pm, along with the activity pool. This info apparently relies on word of mouth--not their website--to know in advance. We'd have come the next morning had we known. Boo. Lame, even. With kids, this place is a winner if arriving well before the slides close. 6pm. You heard it here. Adults only? There are several better options nearby. 3.5 stars

Came to find out that one of the creators of this area is 6'7" (no wonder I couldn't reach them lol). Overall it was such a fantastic experience that made me use my mental and physical strength. From the very beginning, Rex made the entire booking process effortless. He was incredibly knowledgeable, honest, genuine, and took the time to answer every question without ever making us feel pressured. You can tell he truly cares about giving people an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Cal, absolutely made the day. We laughed from start to finish, and his energy, confidence, and encouragement made all the difference. I'm not someone who naturally loves heights or considers myself much of a climber, but there wasn't a single moment where I wasn't having an amazing time. What impressed me most was how safe I felt the entire experience. It's wild to think you're hundreds of feet above the ground, yet the equipment, route design, and professionalism of the Basecamp team gave me complete confidence every step of the way. The Via Ferrata itself is a masterpiece. Whether you're a beginner looking for an exciting first adventure or someone wanting to challenge yourself on more difficult routes, Golden Mountain offers the perfect balance. Every section is thoughtfully designed, the scenery is breathtaking, and the entire experience is simply unforgettable. This was easily one of the highlights of my year, and I honestly can't recommend Basecamp enough. They exceeded every expectation from start to finish. The Golden Mountain Via Ferrata truly lives up to its name.

This hidden gem is on the north side of Silverton, inside Smedley's ice cream parlor. The official address is 1314 Greene Street. Sharon and Paul Zimmerman own this establishment as well as the Pickle Barrel. My wife and I visited here on the morning of Sunday, August 7, 2022. Paul Zimmerman rang us up and he treated us extremely nicely. You pay once for unlimited hours of soaking, but if you leave you can't re-enter without paying again. Their soaking hours are 8 AM until 8 PM. They have three indoor mineral pools, each three feet deep. The combined capacity is approximately 30 people. The two largest pools are 99 and 101 degrees Fahrenheit, and the smaller pool is 103. This location is super convenient as you don't have to drive into Ouray (another hour) and pay $21 for their outdoor pools or Pagosa Springs and pay outrageous prices. Initially, there were four other people in the pools, but after about an hour, my wife and I were alone. We relaxed in the pools for about three hours. We enjoyed the ceiling, which looks like hundreds of stars in the night sky. The water is lit green for ultimate relaxation. The owner provided clean glasses and pitchers of ice water while we were soaking. You have to shower before and after soaking in gender separate bathrooms. I wish the lockers in these bathrooms had keys provided so I could have locked up my valuables. My only other gripe would be for the owners to get curtains or shades for the back door window. It ruined the romantic and dark atmosphere with sunlight blasting through this door window. My tip would be to bring your own towels (they charge for rentals) and arrive between 8 AM and 10 AM for happy hour. They offer free coffee during happy hour and the price is only $14 for adults versus the regular admission of $20. We paid a total of $28 for 3 hours of soaking. A great value and we'll be back next time we visit Silverton.

After reviewing several guided riding outfits, we chose Telluride Wranglers. They offered a few different riding locations and had several options for duration of ride. They also have some rides that include a meal offering. And even combine an overnight camp out with a ride as another option. The variety of options was appealing to us, however, the fact that the ride was private for just our group was the determining factor that sold us on Telluride Wranglers. We selected a 2 hour ride at the Woods Lake location. This is the farthest of the locations, but was a very beautiful and peaceful location. It is approximately a 45-50 min drive from the center of Downtown Telluride. And this particular drive does include a portion of the drive to the site on unpaved roads (sometimes smooth, sometimes a bit bumpy. Overall, we thought the beauty of the location justified the additional time to get there and the 12 - 15 minute unpaved portion of the journey. NOTE: make sure u allocate 45-50 min to get there or the length of your ride will be shortened by the amount u are late. We also had some confusion about exactly where we would meet our guide, the location that was indicated in the text had some horses tethered up but no guide. We were eventually directed a bit more down the road where guide and horses awaited. Our guide was Piper and she was great. Clearly an expert on horses and on navigating the trails. She made us both feel very comfortable. Offered lots of tidbits along the way about the flora and fauna, the horses, and the local area. She also snapped pictures of us along the way and airdropped them to us at the end. A very nice touch. In the entirety of the ride we only saw a couple of hikers and a couple people on the lake paddle boarding. It was incredible to be in such a gorgeous setting that was really peaceful and isolated.
