Both are a reasonable size (not large) with comfortable beds. However, the top floor room had a balcony and an amazing view of The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, and where the Bosphorus joins the Sea of Marmara. Most important, the service was excellent. I want to name Gokhan, Aziz, and Mehmet and the lead housekeeper who were all extremely pleasant and helpful to us. Gokahn was responsive and helpful in setting up our reservations and transportation on arrival at Istanbul Airport which is the largest airport above ever seen. Communication was clear and we had no issues arriving (or leaving). We had picked up a bug just before leaving the USA, though we didn't know it at the time. Aziz and Mehmet were particularly helpful when I got very sick. They checked on our well being daily and offered the help of a doctor the hotel has on call, if we needed one. We are so grateful to you all for such caring attention. It made all the difference in turning what could have been a negative experience to a positive one. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!!! I loved staying here, it's also between two tram stops and is a stone's throw from the blue mosque, it's also on the same street as the cistern basilica and very close to the ferries you can take to the Asia side. The tram stop to get to the ferries is Eminonu. Also walking distance is the Grand Bazarre. The spice Bazarre is near the Eminonu tram stop. And the Hagia Sophia is across from the Blue Mosque. There are also bus tours between the two mosques as well as what seems like hundreds of places to eat and drink at. Great location, would stay here again!

I flew out and had a horrible experience sitting next to a nervous passenger who kept on bumping into me during the entire flight. My taxi ride from the airport to this hotel was long. It took two hours. My taxi driver apologized for the delay, as traffic seemed even worse than being in the greater Toronto area! As soon as I got out of the taxi, staff were immediately helping me get my suitcase to the front desk. When I got there, I asked the person to call my boyfriend to come downstairs. Security is fairly tight at this hotel. There is security personnel outside. The front desk asked for my passport, to make a copy of it. After all that process stuff was taken care of, we headed up the elevator. We were on the 32nd floor, which also happens to be where the executive lounge is. I basically put down my computer bag, tipped the bellhop, and headed over to the lounge. I was hungry! You get lounge access when you are a gold or platinum elite member. I was neither at the time. However, my boyfriend was a gold elite member. The lounge is cheerful, with a beautiful view of the city. The food choices were great and complimentary. Beverages are free, including alcohol. Snacks are available late at night, too. Our room was amazing. The bathroom is marble. There was a toilet and a bidet. The shower had a huge marble bench if you felt like sitting there to get a sauna effect or just relax. The closet had motion sensors that activated the lighting. Our king bed was comfortable. It was a fancy room, with a spectacular view of the city. I can't say enough about staff here. One day, I went downstairs to ask where there was an ATM. The helpful woman personally took me over to where the machine was. I just wanted instructions, but she went all out to help me out, which I appreciated. The ATM was also where the business centre was. I spent an hour one day using the Turkish keyboard (so different and difficult to get used to) to check my e-mail. You can also read there, as there is a mini library with some comfy chairs to lounge in. I loved my stay here. You get complimentary white robes and slippers. Housekeeping kept our rooms clean every day. This hotel is close to the subway, the mall, and plenty of restaurants. (51)

The front desk agent was beyond patient and answered every tourist question I had, even when I had him repeat words over and over so I could get the pronunciation right lol. We were also served our very first Turkish coffee! Complimentary, of course, as this hotel exemplified hospitality. Breakfast and wi-fi were included, yay! Breakfast the next morning also exceeded any and all expectation. Served in the restaurant below lobby-level, breakfast was a combination of hot and cold foods. All super delicious. About a 10min walk from all the major attractions Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Hippodrome, etc). The room will make you feel like a little sultan! Lol.

The only complaint I have about this hotel is that my friend and I needed twin beds and our travel agent told the hotel this; however, we show up and there was no twin beds available. Also, the heat in our room didn't work and after our long late flight, there was no one to fix this issue so we spent an hour trying to figure out the radiator. Our first night there we dined at Madhus as a welcome dinner. It is an Indian fine dining gastronomic experience that set the tone of our stay. The food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the service was impeccable. We all enjoyed our meal there and when you stay at this hotel you must dine here. All of us enjoyed our respective rooms. Whether they were the Swiss Advantage Garden View Room or Swiss Bosphorus View the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The Purovel products in the bathroom were a good quality for a hotel. The housekeeping team kept our room clean and stocked upon request. We all had a great experience here. I would like to think that my group thought everything was amazing- the views of the Bosphorus, the hotel amenities, dining offerings from breakfast and fine dining at Madhus and 16 Roof were all excellent. From the lobby to the reception and concierge everything and everyone was delightful and extremely helpful. On behalf of my group, I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return just so that I personally can use their tennis court.
