a good place to avoid. I am disabled and was at the port and decided to see if I could quickly get some chips before the ferry.
I went in, there are two doors and I couldn't tell who in there was waiting for chips and who wasn't, so I stood in the middle to see if I could work out what order the que went in.
The assistant spoke to me rudely and told me to 'go and que down there' indicating to where a few people were standing, it wasn't clear if they had been served or were waiting, hence me not 'queing there' before.
I was less than impressed with her attitude and tone of voice, not sure if I had time to wait and aware that there were other takeaways in the area, so I left.
as I left an obese man who was loitering shouted to the assistant 'she looks like she's had enough chips anyway', to which I replied that he needed to look at himself before commenting on strangers.
My weight is mainly due to having to take steroids in order to live, I think his weight is due to hanging around a chip shop and commenting on strangers. So I will put the word out that that shop is a place to avoid.
I went round the corner to the takeway there and for 20p cheaper I got a good portion of chips with a polite and friendly greeting. read more
