This place is horrible! I went here for the first time with my son and his girlfriend to treat them. When we walked in the place, it seemed to have great options and we were actually excited that we may have found a new place to come to for fresh fruit. Unfortunately, one of the employees (blond hair, wearing a white cap with a lot of makeup) was so raciest and rude upon our ordering (as my Spanish isn't that great, being that English is my first language). Mind you I am half Spanish and half Mexican, born and raised in America. I wasn't raised speaking Spanish, but at least I've taken the initiative to try and learn Spanish on my own. Not to mention, my trying to order in Spanish! She was blatantly mistreating us in front of others, so bad that other people in line were questioning how she was mistreating us too. As a Spanish/Mexican American, I have been treated like this by more people in my own community because I have green eyes, light skin and cannot speak Spanish fluently, than any other community. Our people must do better because this is embarrassing and unacceptable! In my opinion, employees like this should NOT be in the customer service industry period! DO NOT GO HERE, especially if you cannot speak fluent Spanish! read more

-I Used to like coming here, specially for the "licuados" (smoothies), now its not good anymore, like they're not even trying, licuados were too sweet, after i asked them to change it, it was flavorless (not enough fruit), the fruit is not fresh, and after i asked the guy to change it, he just put some "good fruit" on top of the bad . 5$ for 3 covered strawberries and old! This place is legit! the most delicious Mexican snacks can be found here. Obviously the store sells whole fresh fruits as you can tell from the name. You could also get fruits with chamoy. They also offer paletas and ice cream. They have mango con chili on a stick!!! it's so good and healthy for you! All are reasonable. What I got was a mangonada, it was a mango smoothie with chamoy. After Moving back into my home town I decided to enjoy going to this place as I've been in the mood for a mangonada. I would like to give a back story as I currently am learning Spanish since my grandsparents never taught my parents. Upon walking in I was met with the rudest employee who not only showed disgust in me not knowing full spanish but also who was annoyed in ordering food for not only me but for four of my relatives. Ive experience this type of discrimination my whole life especially from my own people and as a community we need to be better. That girl with blonde hair and messed up teeth represents us as people so wrong we need to be better. The service was so awful I ended up paying and leaving with so much disgust in my community. I want to join and be connected to my people but when I experience such issues as this and being latino as well this not only ruins it but leaves a bad reputation. read more

I was pleased as punch to find that my favorite Fruteria Cano has opened a new location on Gus Thomasson Road which, while not close, is certainly closer than the other locations. If you're unfamiliar, Fruterias are where you can get cut fruit in various applications- with yogurt or cream, granola, mixed into a smoothie or juiced. I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in- mounds and mounds of pomegranate seeds! I love poms, but hate extracting the seeds, so that along with some pineapple and oranges mixed with lechera (a sweetened milk) and topped with granola were my dessert last night. My husband concocted the best liquado (smoothie)- banana, pineapple, and cucumber to make it taste fresh and green. He's a genius. You should definitely try Fruteria Cano. I've been to all their locations and never been disappointed. My favorite part is that every employee I've ever encountered has been amazingly patient and friendly! read more

I only got one item here and it was for the mangoneada . It was interesting. It reminded of those Mexican spicy mango lollipops. Your tastebuds will be confused and delighted. I was hoping they would have topped it off with regular chopped mangos for texture but overall it was really tasty. The mangos smoothie was super sweet and she did not skimp on the sour and spicy mixture. The tamarind straw was the best touch. It contrasted perfectly with the sweet mangos. Damn it, their Rusas are so freaking good! I have loved every item I have tried here.. These are what appear to be "hole in the wall" fruit/smoothie places, but they have a few stores throughout the DFW area. My wife loves going to any Fruteria Cano, and they have continued to deliver the same quality product in all of their locations! First time trying out this place. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I bought a raspado with natural fruit and it had no flavor. Also got a licuado, it was ok just needed more ice because it was warm. The mango with chamoy and chile was ok but the mango was overripe too soft. The only thing I did like was the Fresas con crema with granola. The strawberries aren't cut up which I've never had fresas con crema with whole strawberries. The watermelon water was good too! I would give this place one more try though maybe next time we have better luck. read more

This place is horrible, they overwork there employees, the call them when ever they want and if they don't show up they take days off of them just cause they said no. They don't respect there employees and a guy who has been accused many time by customers of insulting them or insulting there own co-workers still works there. They don't have appropriate management that can actually protect there employees. I feel bad because some girls are nice but they take advantage of there situation and know they need the job so they treat them bad. This place has many businesses run by the same family and they hire every time because they are bad. I don't support businesses that treat horrible there employees and don't care for there customers. I know people who worked there and there's no protection for them. They would notify them one day or even the same they that they had to show up to work not even a schedule. Was there just before posted hours said they were close. Door was locked and they did open the door for us.

They have giant fruit juices of any kinds for like $3 fruit of all kinds and ice cream. I take my family there at least once a week and get out for under $15. That's a steal. Fresh honey dew/watermelon juice in a cup made for godzilla. Great stuff read more

This is a terrible business and the customer service is horrible. I had to wait for someone to take my order. I asked the lady the differences in the strawberries and she replied she didn't know. I asked for my receipt at the end of the order and the lady just left me standing there looking bewildered. I'm not sure if they prefer to have blacks not visit their establishment or if this is just their demeanor. There were a few people that came in before me that they didn't acknowledge either.
