This review is solely on my experience and not the integrity of the bagel itself. I was fascinated when a colleague recommended this place in Rockford for breakfast and I had no idea what to expect when I pulled up to an old home. When I walked in, I was greeted with delicious coffee aromas being ground while people were buying pounds of fresh ground beans. I was confused about the ordering process, but friendly customers explained the procedure. First, you get in line and pick your drink and order a customizable bagel. I picked a sandwich because I was hungry, so I opted for a full on sandwich. I chose an onion bagel with house-made smoked and sliced roast beef, egg, pepper Jack cheese, horseradish sauce, onion, tomato, and lettuce. Yum! The bagels are homemade and on the smaller side so I was able to scarf down the whole sandwich whilst enjoying a large NOLA coffee brew. All of this came to under $10. A great value and interesting experience. After, ordering you can find a seat and they come find you to come back to the counter to pay. You only pay when your food is ready. Then its cafe seat yourself territory. They also have random items for sale and interesting curiosities hidden in the nooks and crannies of this space. Certainly worth a visit based on vibes and price point alone. the food did not disappoint. Smoked meats for the win!

Always some seasonal roasts too plus a confectionery and bakery . All meats cooked on the egg , take and bake meals too , burritos and shellfish pie ! There's a grilling section featuring spices as well as green egg accessories. It's so many things that we find ourselves going often even for a bagel or bagel dog ( good enough for Ginger Zee to serve at her wedding ) if you haven't been you need to go !

We arrived right at open on Saturday morning as they seem to sell out pretty quickly. I would recommend pre-ordering the week leading up if you can't get there early. We went with the BEC on a cheddar everything, spicy boy on a cheddar jalapeño bagel and a hash brown on the side - YUM. The bacon egg and cheese was our winner, but each item was delicious. The everything cheddar might be my new favorite bagel in Grand Rapids! The spicy boy did pack a punch and did live up to the name, with a lingering heat. Those who love spice would be big fans. Set in such a cute area and the interior is a very cute, inviting space. Service was wonderful and inviting as well. Can't wait to be back to try more bagels!

They are only open on Saturdays 8-1pm, and I used to live farther away and it would've been difficult to make the trip to Eastown, but currently I'm walking distance to Lake Dr. It's a small store with about 3 tables inside, so mostly for takeout. I was expecting a line at 9am, but there were only a few people ahead of me! They do open advanced online ordering, which may help with the foot traffic. I ordered 3 bagels - everything, asiago, and za'tar ($8 for 3). They were out of sesame, and I got the last za'tar bagel. I wanted to make my own breakfast sandwich at home, so I didn't try their sandwiches or cream cheese this time. I also ordered a vanilla oatmilk latte from Toro Coffee (~$6), which had a pop-up stand inside as well. The bagels almost look "overbaked/overcooked," but they really just have that nice crispy exterior and fluffy inside that bagels are supposed to have! Being from the East Coast, I've complained a lot about there not being good bagels in Grand Rapids - but this is easily the best spot I've tried! I will come here again to pick up bagels for a special occasion!

I almost had a panic attack in my midsize SUV (but she's thick so...). It started off fine like "oh dang this is narrow but its a tiny corner lot so I get it." Then it quickly turned into my car sensors blowing up while I'm working out a 20-point turn to get around the corner without hitting the wall in front of me, the curb below me or the steel poles EVERYWHERE. But we made it. Rest assured. Next time, I'll just walk inside. :-)

Parking is nonexistent, so we decided to hit the drive through and eat at a local park. If you have a large vehicle (truck, full-size SUV, etc...) be very careful in the drive through. It is quite tight. Luckily we had my wife's Blazer, which was no issue. Service was pleasant, polite and fast. As for the food, it wasn't great. I ordered the Denver Bagel Omelette Sandwich. It had a cold Asiago bagel with a piece of ham, scrambled egg, green pepper slices and melted cheese. I think the cold bagel with the warm egg and melted cheese threw it off. It was just a weird warm/cold combo and I was expecting a bit of crunch from the bagel, but was left with a soft, blah texture. My wife ordered the Smoked Salmon Classic Bagel Sandwich. She had the same experience. While she expected a cold bagel with hers, she told me her salmon had zero flavor. She was expecting, salt, lemon, something. She ended up eating the bagel and cream cheese without the salmon. The coffee was okay and look, we are not spoiled high class restaurant critics. We just expect that food will have flavor and some thought put into what is being served. We paid $35 for two bagel sandwiches and two medium coffees. The food just wasn't worth a premium like that. Too many other places to try to come back.

The atmosphere is great and the design of the property is beautiful. You can tell that everything was thought through from the silverware and glasses to the furniture and light fixtures. Our server was very friendly and took great care of us. The drinks took a little while to arrive each round but our server apologized and the bartenders were clearly busy. We decided to order a bunch of small plates to share. The Caesar Salad was very fishy and I probably wouldn't order it again, but that's authentic I guess? The Truffle Fries were delicious, but pretty hard to mess that up. We loved the Calamari because it was very lightly fried and the sauce was great. The Slider Trilogy sounded amazing on the menu but it fell short for us. Each slider had all of the same toppings but the protein changed. We felt they all basically tasted the same, which bummed us out. They would be great if the Ahi Tuna had wasabi or something different. Overall, pretty cool spot for a date night or special occasion. The prices definitely reflect a higher end restaurant and more expensive Ada. We will definitely come back and try more stuff.
