Small little shop with a modest amount of inventory. However their prices are unbeatable and they have amazing sales every week. For example, last week all sleeveless tops were 25 cents. They only restock Monday and Tuesday, which is the days they are closed. If you go Wednesday or earlier in the week, you'll always have a better selection in the store. The service is so friendly and the volunteers are great. It's priced the way a thrift store should be and is a great resource for the community. read more

This small shop is run by volunteers and they are always helpful and happy. They have some very good bargains and all monies over operating cost is donated back to the community! Thay have clothes, books, home goods, costume jewelry and some toys. They have a small section of crafting item also.They are open Wed- Sat. That give them time to sort items that they get in and of course they need days off also. It is worth going there even if you don't see what you want this time, lol read more

Super sales! This week was .50¢ clothes, $1 jeans. We love this little store. Great assortment of clothing home goods, linens/curtains, shoes, kitchen items, huge craft section and a bay corner. The Annex store has furniture, tools, vintage things, electronics. All the money is going back to the community. Terrific store!! read more

Just visiting Fruita for the first time and wanted to go thrifting. This was the nearest thrift shop and we decided to give it a try. Was pleasantly surprised by the low prices and quality items. Can definitely recommend this store to anyone who is near the area. read more

The Fruita Thrift Shop is a run-off-the-mill overtly xian-themed junk store with lots of clothes and an odd assortment of characters. Everything is cheaply priced, but the sharp kitchen implements are locked in the display case for some reason, which made me look a bit closer at the "characters" who were ranting to themselves in the aisles.... Unfortunately this place was devoid of most vintage or collectible items and there was almost no furniture. Unless you are in need of cheap clothes or maybe vinyl LP's, it's not really worth the trip. PS: they have erratic hours, and they are closed on Sunday & Monday, so you might want to call ahead. read more

Outstanding example of the way things should be, the way things used to be. Countless hours are donated by the friendly and funny volunteer staff of seniors. The money from clothes and random treasures you didn't know you needed is recycled right back into the community. Fruita Thrift Store is a weekly must shop stop for me and many others. read more

I find the Fruita Thrift Shop to be great. Yes, there are "characters" there, but no more so than any of the other thrift stores around. They have great sales, where you can get shirts for a quarter, sweaters all-you-can-stuff-in-the-bag for $1.00, etc. They are open Wed. - Sat., 9 am - 4 pm. Wednesday mornings, people begin lining up as early as 8 am. I got a great deal on a computer armoire there, and have found Avon collectibles, colored depression glass, cameras, and more. As with any thrift store, it's hit-or-miss from day to day, but it's my favorite place to thrift! (An added bonus: they use the proceeds to give grants to community non-profits; it is completely volunteer-run, except for their paid bookkeeper/office manager.) I wouldn't drive 2 hours to go there, but it's worth the drive from GJ. read more
