Always come here for lunch and love their menu. Its simple and easy. They are friendly and have fast service. There's a lot of kids that come from the high school and sometimes can be a bit loud but usually pretty chill. Definitely recommend trying the fresas con crema also.

I've been coming to Fruit Palace for a few years now and they never disappoint. My go to is the Chicken Chipotle Torta. Everything about the Torta is perfect. Just the right amount of condiments and the bread is toasted to perfection. I have also tried their fruit salads, flan and chocoflan which really cure your craving for something sweet and fresh.

Went here for the first time the other day and got a chamango. The place was empty, but I could see that the dining area was large with plenty of tables, as well as a stack of magazines for guests to skim through. This place is also very clean, which is great. They offer all the usual stuff a Mexican fruit/smoothie shop would have - including fresas con crema, tostilocos, etc. It's nice that this place wasn't busy - I usually go to Teresita's on Palm and that place gets crowded quick. The only downside about this place is that they only offer one size for their chamangos (16 oz.), whereas Teresita's on Palm offers small, medium, or large.

Everything is made fresh to order. All items are made in front of you, smoothies, fresh juices, sandwiches, tortas, and fruit salads. Staff is very and courteous. Avoid the lunch hour rush by placing your order ahead of time. The place is small and is limited to six small tables. Due to it's close proximity to a local high school, the place tends to get packed after high school kids go home.

Visit July 2026…read more Ironically I was in NYC last week and ate at a deli there. That visit was a so-so experience and made me miss Beyer Deli so ta-dah! Still incredibly huge sandwiches. Hefty enough that half will fill me and I'm fat. The torta bread is the way to go for your sandwiches and yeah I know it's not a NYC thing but ewwww I had stale white bread with my NYC meal. I don't get here often but it looks like the menu has expanded with smoothies, pasta, and iced coffees. Still incredibly amazing prices (seriously the price for a pastrami sandwich at the NYC deli was twice the price here). Still the MOST INCREDIBLE AMAZING WELCOMING service you will ever experience. Dina, the owner who runs the front, makes you feel like you've pulled up a chair at her own kitchen. Loves to talk and gets to know you. I'm always a fan of seeing a restaurant acknowledge their regulars it just makes such a positive vibe and Dina welcomes them by name so tells you how often they frequent. Still located in a tiny business mall and if it weren't for the red on the sign you might miss it. Still cash only. Still the safest place on the planet as it is frequented by every form of law enforcement possible from BP, SDPD, CVPD, to the MIB (seeing if you're still with me). Its great that they support and receive support from first responders. If you want a satisfying deli experience stop by. I suggest....well everything.

Ropa Vieja: shredded braised beef with peppers onions and tomato- the seasoning is uniquely Cuban and fantastic- a comfort food favorite! The plate comes with a side salad and maduros- caramelized fried ripe bananas and white rice and black beans- generous portions of everything. 2. Arroz con pollo: chicken and rice exists in almost every culture, but the Cuban version is the one I would choose first any day. This was the boys fav. The dinner plate also comes with maduros and salad. 3. Papas rellenas- "potato balls" on the menu- stuffed mashed potato spheres with seasoned ground beef then lightly breaded and deep fried for a perfect crispy coat- excellent! They have 3 varieties and we tried the spicy chicken and the ground beef- both were delicious! 4. Croquetas: deep fried breaded ground ham rolls. Decadent and perfectly crispy outside and velvety inside. These were my hardest craving when I was pregnant. Love them! 5. Guava pastries- sweet with a little hint of tartness- wrapped in puff pastry. It was too late in the day for me to order coffee but I will have to make a cup of Bustelo tomorrow morning to go with these. We were too full to eat them today! 6. Iron Beer: our fav soda! Even sweeter than coke- shocking, lol! I also tried the kola champagna- a Puerto Rican staple but imo, IronBeer wins. I would buy them for the boys a couple times a year whenever I stumbled upon a Caribbean market that stocked them and they've been fans for life. We loved our meal and service was excellent but just know it's an informal cafe and they mostly serve food to go. So not much atmosphere in this worn strip mall. There are 3 small cafe style tables but you will need to order at the counter. Plenty of parking and easy to find.

I literally told my sister "oooh a deli, I want a torta after" and then I headed into Bellus. As I was walking in the owner of this deli confronted me telling me not to park there and I let him know I had just been dropped off and wouldn't be taking up any of his parking and he continued "the car, the car" so persistently I had to just about yell at him that she left and we weren't parked there. Mind you his establishment was completely empty at the time. Not that it would be an excuse if we did park there( which I would never do). Throughout my entire appointment I was thinking about how crazy he came at me and when I decided to mention it to the esthetician student doing my facial she mentioned she had ordered some tostilocos from him the day prior that came with apple on them (unusual) and that the cueritos on them were mushy and when she asked for her money back on them he had an attitude about it, which I believe given what I saw from him today. On my way out I stopped to let him know that I was a potential customer and he totally deterred me from patronizing his business. Oh and shocker: his place was still empty when I told him this and it was lunchtime. Interesting.

Not to be deterred, I walked in anyways (don't think I've ever had a bad torta after all), and of course, I immediately see the cute grass/vine wall with "Mango Mania Frutas & More." Soooo, it's the same joint. I also like the butterfly lights that actually flap their wings. It's feels somewhat minimalist, but also so aesthetic. I ordered a lunch combo of a half lomo torta, fruit salad, and apple agua frescas. The bread on the torta is satisfyingly crisp and thick. The veggies and sauce are also great. Nice texture, however, I thought the flavor of the pork was just okay. Maybe more seasoning? I also like the little spicy chili sauce, actually kinda spicy so proceed at your own risk. Scrumptious fruit salad, maybe this should be in a bowl? Quite good, although this is kinda impossible to screw up as long as the fruits are fresh. Apple agua fresca is perfect if you don't want your fruit drinks to be too sweet.
