You might drive past and think, oh, I need more than fruit, I have to go to a supermarket. But stop…read moreright there, this place has loads of stuff that just might cover your shopping list and save you going to Marrickville Metro or some other horrific place. The fruit and vegies are in abundance, as you would expect, and they are fresh, good quality and reasonably priced. There is also fresh bread, a fridge with deli meats, a thousand kinds of cheeses, dairy products and milk. At the back there is all kinds of pasta and sauces as well as toiletries and cleaning products. The back freezers have ready made pasta, ice cream and things like frozen berries. The righ hand side wall is tin central, with any kind of food in a tin or jar you would want. I wish I could do a whole inventory but I think its safe to say that this place has pretty much everything. Special mention for the bunches of flowers at the front of store near the registers. They are always beautiful and look amazing, fantastic quality. And extremely cheap! I would recommend getting flowers here than at a florist, as they are top quality and last for ages.

Prices seem reasonable for a small independent outfit. The fruit and veg is abundant and prices seem pretty good for the in-season stuff. Some of it's not as shiny and spotless as the stuff you get at the big grocery chains, but who cares?

Considering I live right in the centre of the city and have numerous supermarkets (Coles, Miracle,…read moreWoolies, Thai Kee) and Paddy's all within walking distance, I still find myself jumping in the car and heading to Harris Farms at Broadway. Luckily the Broadway shopping centre has 3 hours free parking! They have great produce and also harder to find ingredients and importantly for me, they have duck pate at the deli. Not many other places in Sydney would you find this and it's quite decently priced. I remember being in French Canada and eating baguettes and quality pate from the local marts and have been craving this back here in Sydney. Now to find top notch fresh baguettes around central Sydney ! The artisan breads at Harris Farms aren't bad though. I love their selection of grass fed beef and lamb and the fact that they do heaps of pre marinated cuts means that if you're in a hurry to have a classy dinner party or bbq, this is the place to go! Between Harris Farms and Peters Meats upstairs, Broadway is spoilt for choice when it comes to quality meat offerings. I know people might shoot me for this comment, but I think of Harris Farms as the Aussie version of Wholefoods (on a much smaller scale) where you find quality alternatives to the offerings at the big 2 chains.

They have great produce, tons of local products, a wide range of deli meats and cheeses. I highly recommend the Harris Farms yogurts, which you can find plain or mixed with fruits or nuts. They are absolutely fantastic. You can also find a variety of imported treats. Emphasizing the aspect of convenience, it is great that there is gratuitous 3-hour parking in the building so you can run in and out without fretting over where to park. All in all, it is an intimate grocery shopping experience in a shopping mall.

nice to meat you! a…read morerare journey out of sydney's city centre in search of the lululemon outlet led me to chance upon alexandria and what this area has to offer! a paradise for meat lovers awaits! the entrance is via the f&b section and a turn to your right will be where bright coloured, free to wear, winter jackets hang. this can only mean it's going to be cold within, past the solid black sliding door! i opted not to and would not recommend you follow me if you are not in the least bit liking the cold. it's a great reason to celebrate the cold within as you know for sure the meats that you buy here will be nicely chilled! like a kid in a candy store feeling, warms you. where do i begin? fear not as the previously sentient beings are well organized, classified and displayed for your easy selection. from regular everyday beef to japanese wagyu, goat to lamb, venison, veal, roo, free range chicken and ducks, angus or aged, all abound. the best for me and travellers alike have to be that most meats on display are all nicely vacuum packed, just grab and go! you can also take in the freshly butchered canvas of meats hanging beyond and in the background as proof of the pudding. Or envy the huge aging box encompassing even more choice cuts! and when the cold bites and/or the basket fills, exit the cold room for other non chilled products! hoofs, hearts, liver, pet mince, tongue? the frozen section will amaze! they also have cheeses, cured meats, sauces and other produce. as for the meats you buy, a full range of bbq paraphernalia will get you ready immediately for a cook off! once ready to check out, the quick moving line will get you out the door in no time. just grab cardboard boxes, if you need, for your bountiful loot and don't forget to return that jacket you took when you entered! it was definitely nice to meat you!

(Me trying to be funny) I reckon if there is a cut of meat that exists they have it or will know about it. This place is huge, very well kept, spotless, brilliantly organized and most important of all...does not smell!! When you get here, the entrance is something else...literally like walking into a giant Meat Locker! They have jackets for you at the front to keep you warm while you struggle to choose your cut of meat from the enormous selection...Brilliant! Then there is the selection...again just amazing, memorizing, so much to choose from! So are the prices... High quality meat at affordable prices! The Australian Meat Emporium truly feels like a wholesaler that is open to the public, not just one of those catchy or quirky gimmicks. Just like their website states: "Australian Meat Emporium says is a retail outlet selling the finest Bindaree Beef products directly to the public at affordable prices". I'm just not sure what Bindaree Beef is...guessing something good? They also work "very closely with producers of other species of meat such as Cowra Lamb, Arcadian Organic Meat, Rangers Valley and B.E Campbell's Bruemar Pork." Australian Meat Emporium used to be called Establishment 218...just in case your were wondering
