Nicely laid out, there's a good balance between mid range and the more expensive statement plants, statues, herbs, summer houses, the ubiquitous smart garden centre foodie treats (ideal for presents) and a smart open plan eatery with seating spilling outside, adjacent to a series of summer houses. Take inspiration from the £900 wisteria enveloping an unusual wooden pagoda and enjoy the very tasty food. One thing is for sure, if I move locally I'll be conducting my business meetings here. As an added bonus the staff were very friendly and helpful too

They also have a small tropical fish section and an outdoor pond section. The outdoor pond section had nicer plants at a cheaper price than Yarnton Nurseries and a very helpful assistant - which is why it gets 4 stars from me.

This is no longer Blooms of Bressingham, they were taken over by Wyevale some time ago and have…read moresince demolished the old Blooms buildings and constructed a little out of town retail centre together with a huge garden centre. The garden centre is now ENORMOUS! You get to it by walking down a mall with various other shops there - Cotswold, Hobbycraft, Lakeland etc. When you're in the garden centre you immediately see a nice cafe on your left and a smaller coffee bar as well. Straight ahead of you is the outdoor area where there is a huge selection of plants, sculptures and furniture. There's even a section dedicated to paving as well. Back inside you'll find an upmarket food hall and a nice selection of furniture/homewares. There is also an area for bulbs and garden tools inside. The best thing about this time of year is that there is a great christmas shop as well!

My partner is a marine biologist, and I bought her a Kujira Sperm Whale knife, which blacksmith Toru Yamashita made with no points so kids can safely sharpen pencils. The store itself is also minimal and clean; the staff, very helpful. I missed it a few times when I first started exploring Oxford because I went down Market Street to duck into The Covered Market. Objects of Use is just a bit past the Market Street entrances of The Covered Market if one approaches from Cornmarket Street. This is the only location, which surprised me, as a number of stores, restaurants, and cafes in Oxford are satellites of larger enterprises in London. This really is a type of store one would expect to find in London or New York, and yet the only one is right here in Oxford.
