And it feels safe since it's in a busy area (and there's a police officer). Plenty of parking, and they're also open on Saturdays-- hooray! Inside, it's clean but quite small-- enough room for a line in front of the teller desks and that's pretty much it. It would probably feel a little cramped doing anything that needs more than a quick stop. The line comes in waves, so sometimes it's a long wait especially during the lunch rush. Most of the employees have been friendly; I was especially struck my how nice Harold was at my last visit-- he was professional and super nice, even wishing me a nice trip with a warm smile after I picked up some Euros. When was the last time you felt happy leaving your bank? I usually pick which branch I'll be visiting based on where I'm running errands, but I might have to frequent this location more often! If you have any quick transactions with BoA, this Meyerland location is worth checking out :D

I have come to this location a few times recently and had pleasant experiences each time. My latest…read morevisit was memorable because the customer service stood out. I was greeted immediately when walking in. I went to a teller to get cash and she (Brittany) was very patient and friendly. I also needed to change my pin number so she directed me to a banker. The banker was also efficient and engaged in small talk while he processed my request. Going inside can often be a pain but this experience was the opposite.

BYE FELICIA! Opened…read morea business account. Had to make an appointment 3 times because of COVID 19 and the girl who scheduled the dates kept forgetting they kept limited hours. Account rep was very nice but it was like talking to a wall. Kept putting the wrong mailing address on my account, created my online account incorrectly that I had 3 logins before they finally made the right account. Never offered me night drop - I had to stand OUTSIDE at night to deposit 2K in cash because they close at 2pm, no after hours business options. Also, they don't tell you their "window" is like 1/2 mile down the road. Finally, I got fed up. I went to Chase. Got multiple sketchy calls from Oklahoma, we're Bank of Texas call us. Then an email. I asked what it was about. She wanted me to email my SSN and information before she'd answer me. Sounded like some spam nonsense, so I ignored it. I never received any letters or emails. Come to find out why. My address was still wrong in the system and they had locked my account end of July and the issue happened in August. No way I would have known. Called this weird person back to find out what is going on. "Pandy" told me that a payment hit in September to the account and I owed the money. I said no way, I don't even bank with them. I went into the account in question and they did try to pull but it was rejected. I told Pandy at most I'd give them the fee but no way I was paying them over $400 when there was no actual payment. She kept telling me they did pay it, even after multiple emails showing that it was rejected. Come to find out Pandy has no idea what the hell she was even talking about. The issue happened in August and NOT September. I found this out after they decided to email me my statements (so charitable). I confirmed it with the payment inside my system and it was true. I sent an email that I would pay but I am complaining to the state because what they did was illegal. They closed all my account access, never sent letters or emailed. Even if they had the wrong address (the biz address and not my home), nothing went there. Their response - not their problem, I'm in collection and I'd better figure it out and send them money. This bank is run by scamsters and nutjobs with a 40 IQ. Stay far away!

I never had any complaints about them as a bank -- but they've caused terrible harm to us because…read morewe got a home mortgage from them. Do not use Bank of Texas for home mortgages. Nearly at closing, we discovered some crazy requirements regarding flood insurance -- requiring us to carry between 3-20 times as much flood insurance as the house is worth -- way more than can ever be collected (yes, they require insurance that can never be legally collected), and no one at Bank of Texas would explain where this screwy requirement came from. We finally discovered that Bank of Texas doesn't really make home loans. This is a Fannie Mae scam, and Bank of Texas sold our mortgage to FM two weeks later. Bank of Texas, it seems, is just a front for Fannie Mae. We got the loan just a few months ago, and now we're already searching for a replacement bank, at higher rates, to save $10,000s of excessive and useless fees that Bank of Texas imposed. Avoid Bank of Texas for home mortgages.
