It was such a daunting task when I was sifting through companies, names, and reviews to find a wedding photographer. My husband and I were so pleased to have picked Travis Hickey Photography to capture the beautiful moments of our special day in October. Travis has an eye for details, for capturing those little things that speak the sweetness, the love, the fun, the mood, and everything else you can't possibly think of. Through phone calls and texts he asked many important questions, and even guided me on the timing needed in the day's itinerary I was creating! A couple of weeks before the wedding, he met us at the venue, and walked through the high level itinerary of the big day to make sure he was familiar with the setup of the place, the lighting, the space, etc. He was also very familiar with the hotel we were going to get ready at, knew the little gems of areas that would provide classy images, and met us there 3 hours early to take pre-ceremony pictures. Our pictures turned out gorgeous!!! If you're looking for someone who is professional, reliable, knowledgeable, creative, responsive, and an all around awesome human with great personality, you need Travis!

My now husband and I kept talking about how we felt as though they were life long friends who just understood our weird humor and happened to have photography skills. Aside from Emily's warmth and ease, she truly has an eye for the perfect shot and delivers timeless, fun, and authentic images. Trust me when I say that you are making the best investment by hiring Emily. I know we can't wait to have another life event to photograph and to have Emily capture perfectly!

We "met" on FaceTime and discussed my wedding, what I envisioned and just chatted about pictures. She was warm, endearing, sweet, and had a smile on her face the whole time. Like seriously, if you have ever planned a wedding, meeting a vendor who makes you feel as though you are not their profit machine is not easy. I seriously thought wow, I could be this girls friend. So, I hired her. We kept in contact up to the wedding, I booked her for a wedding shoot prior to the actual event because my maid of honor could not attend and I wanted some pics with her in it, those are some of the photos below. She was great, efficient, got tons of shots serious and funny, and took my groomsmen's distasteful humor...guys... I am writing this before I actually even get my wedding photos because I am THAT confident in Emily. She has sent a few teasers but seriously.... what a incredible photographer and overall human. You rock, thank you so much for making this part of my wedding a fun experience from start to finish!

He came highly suggested to us by a friend and we couldn't be happier with choosing him as our photographer. Travis made us feel very comfortable and had fun along with us the whole time, in turn, making it a day we will remember and always cherish. He also had lots of unique ideas to add to what we had already envisioned for our pictures. He was even able to capture candid moments on film that we probably could never have reenacted while making it look so natural and effortless. We will definitely be using Travis/Tremble Media again in the near future and if you're looking for a photographer, Travis is THE guy!!!

My husband and I had a small ceremony at the Old Orange County Courthouse. Travis was waiting for us to arrive when we got there! He gave kind and expert direction to my family and I, so that we could have the best photographs possible, with the best composition and lighting possible. We even had our service dogs there and Travis was able to make them look AT the camera! I couldn't believe it! I thought every photo they were in would be blurry or with the dogs looking away. But BOTH dogs were looking previously at the camera! I can't tell you how happy, having such marvelous pictures of your big day can make you. Travis is very patient (you have to be with my family, lol) and extremely professional. And Travis had my photos completed within 2 days after the wedding! If you have a huge wedding, I'm sure it'll take longer. But every photo was high resolution and looked awesome! He made me look beautiful, which is a must for all brides! And he strategically chose certain photos to be black and white that accentuated special moments throughout my big day! I have no words to describe how happy his photographs made me and my husband. I actually cried looking at them.

Shellie and her assistant were the photographer for my wedding on 11.18.2023. I was very excited to…read morehave her, as the venue highly recommended her, and the work I'd seen of hers seemed to fit mine and my husband's style very well. Photos were the most important part of the wedding for me, outside the ceremony, so we did not choose a cheap or ill recommended photographer. Pros: -She was on time, well dressed, and nice. -She was very open about the daily timelines, likely hood of certain photos, and how photos would turn out due to unexpected (yet very welcomed) rain. Her partner kept the guys going on their timeline, and overall, we were very happy with this. -She recommended a "photo song" so my husband and I could have a photo with every person at the wedding, which we were grateful for as we were not sure we would get them with everyone before this. -She ensured that the few specific poses I had wanted, she snapped. Cons: -just before she left, I asked how long photos would take. She informed me she would send me a few sneak peaks within a week or so, for Christmas cards, and photos would take 8-10 weeks to receive. -Sneak peaks never came, despite my having emailed (with no response) on 12.14.23 and again 12.23.23. -I emailed her on 2.1.24 and 2.27.24 and was informed both times they were finishing up October photos, and mine would be next. -I emailed again on 4.1.24 and 4.11.24, to which she did not reply until 4.15.24 to let me know I would have my gallery by the end of that week. -Photos did not take 8-10 weeks as she had told me, but instead took 27 weeks (just over 6 months) to arrive. -certain photos had been missed. IE: we kissed at the alter, and then again at the end of the aisle, and we have no photos of the kiss at the end of the aisle. -my husband had a rash the day of the wedding. We were told these would be edited to remove the red on his face, but this wasn't actually done. Overall, photos turned out lovely. However, with having paid just shy of $2,500, I do wish she had been truthful about her timeline for photos turn around. In the time we waited, I became pregnant, and made it through more than half my pregnancy, before I even saw the photos of the day I married my husband. To say I was disappointed in the timeline, and her lack of honesty about getting sneak peak photos to me prior to Christmas, and all photos on time in general, would be an understatement.

After we were dropped from another…read morepopular Sacramento videographer because our wedding started at 5 am, for cultural reasons, and they were 'not morning people', Liquid Light graciously helped us out almost last minute to plan a wonderful day. Not only were they on time and professional, but during the day they were not in the way, helpful, and truly compassionate. You could tell that they love what they were doing. That love was then translated on to our wedding DVD. The DVD is the best one that I have ever seen. It was edited perfectly the way we wanted it. The music was perfect, the angles were perfect. I had already been playing the day back and forth in my head thinking about the way I would have edited the DVD and it was like they were in my head because it came out just as I had envisioned with wonderful music that perfectly matched each scene. The quality of video was also excellent (sight and sound). I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They are really nice people and my husband I are blessed that we were able to book them last minute. The other company dropping us ended up being a blessing in disguise and we will have this awesome DVD for the rest of our lives.

So many people commented on how great the photos were in terms of color, composition, and staging. I also received a number of comments from others who have married stating that we got so many more photos with Jeff than they did with their photographers. Jeff and Rex managed to get even the most uncomfortable people to relax and they got some great candids that have turned out to be some of my favorites. I cannot thank Jeff and Rex enough for making the memories of our day so special.

I've waited more than 3 1/2 years to post this review about this photographer. Never have I felt…read moreso compelled to leave an honest review. Also, this is the first time I've ever left any professional a negative review. I would never use Jeff as our photographer for any occasion nor endorse him or his services. The reason I would not is because he was extremely grumpy and rude on the very special day of my daughter's wedding. He was pushy and impatient in every way and it showed terribly. He behaved very badly towards all of our family and guests. This photographer acted so unprofessionally and was unkind to every member of my family and the groom's family. He clearly did not want to be photographing that day. I understand having bad days, but a wedding day is a once in a lifetime experience and he cast such an incredibly poor example, both the bride's family and the groom's were appalled and sorely disappointed. We literally had one of the most beautiful wedding venues in this county and unfortunately, Sharpe Photography was the only vendor that we regretted using. When we met this man in his office in Roseville, he was pretty nice although he seemed to have a strong interest in his weddings overseas. Perhaps this should have been a red flag, but we all agreed he seemed fairly sincere and hoped he would do a nice job. Unfortunately, the photographs and his work reflected his whole bad mood he was in that day. Everything was mediocre at best - there was no special touch in any of the photographs we received. He missed taking so many of the pictures we requested. We actually ended up depending on guest who used their iphones to get some of the pictures we had hoped to be done by our hired photographer. Never again and cannot endorse this business.
