With any new home build, there will be a few items that need some follow up. In our house we had…read moresome trouble with the new, factory-built kitchen appliances. Although this was absolutely no fault of Valentino Homes, we were shocked and delighted by how well they took care of us. When the appliance store didn't have employees working on a Friday afternoon, the owner of Valentino Homes personally picked up a loaner oven and brought it to our house. They employ an incredibly sweet person specifically to help follow up homes post sale. She followed up with the appliance company on our behalf multiple times. My husband pointed out tonight how amazing it is that Valentino has all of their own tradespeople ready to step in at a moments notice. In the past few weeks we've had plumbers, electricians, gas line inspectors all come to the house with very little notice and do great work to help fix our faulty gas oven and dishwasher. Without exception they have been friendly, courteous and tidy. I have always felt comfortable with them being around our young children. The details in the house are spectacular, the more we get to know the house the more we appreciate the nuances. The tiles in the bathroom are lined up so that the patterns match. The painting on the ceiling is perfect, even the shelves in the kitchen pantry and bedroom closets are color matched to our home's color scheme instead of left unfinished. When we purchased the home we asked Valentino to finish the basement. It looks just as beautiful as the main floors and we were so pleased that they finished sooner than we ever dreamed possible. Valentino has great project managers, dedicated tradespeople and a real desire to deliver an excellent product. With three kids under 6 and baby on the way- we sure appreciate our lovely Valentino home! Rachel

We called Riptide after we noticed a soft spot over our extension and water intrusion. The job…read moreended up being a LOT more than a simple shingle replacement, including replacement of the roof, shingles, and back wall. It didn't go particularly well, here are the highlights: - The project was marred with scheduling snafus. Even at the beginning of the project, we agreed on times, made ourselves, and no one to showed up. This happened in the estimating of the project, and while the interior was being rebuilt. - The work quality was rough around the edges, with the roof line now being noticeably less level than it was before the repair; repeated call backs over cracked drywall, holes, ledges, and gaps (especially around the corners); minor imperfections throughout (such as water lines clamped weird etc.) - During the project, unforeseen issues arose. Such as, the hood vent of our water heater was dislodged and damaged to the point that it wasn't venting to the outside (which I replaced and repaired myself) and the electrical was cut for the lighting in the room. - The electrical repair was one of our biggest concerns not only because it caused the crew to be called out for an additional two days, but also because the repair was not completed by an electrician Through multiple conversations, the crew listened and understood where we were coming from and could tell that we weren't particularly happy. They attempted to fix the issues that we brought up. This included doing a bit of the drywall mudding and taping (that was above and beyond the original scope of work) and gave us a 5% discount. They took responsibility and accountability, which is good, but still leaves a bad taste in the mouth, you know
