Small restaraunt located in the hotel in town. The fries aren't crispy, but otherwise the food is ok. Not bad for a small town.

So, I wasn't expecting too much from this hole in the wall, but it was great! Inside the building…read morehad a lot of small town charm with a huge mural depicting the town through the changes in time. The servers were quick and friendly. Menu was super interesting....some usual home town café things (burgers, Chinese food, pizza). I decided on the Turkish spinach style pizza (called pide), my kiddo tried the chicken masala, my little one noodles with tomato sauce, and my husband the special which was halibut and shrimp scampi. Everything came in a timely manner (considering they were backlogged) and everything was delicious. I often grade restaurants on the kids menu. Often it is just quick instant slop that is thrown on a plate. I like it when restaurants make the food healthy and delicious but palatable for little ones. I could have eaten this pasta. It was flavourful and lovely and plated well. My pide was delicious and huge. My husband's dish had a nice spicy flavour that none of us were expecting. The best dish though, was the chicken masala. It was delicious. Amazing sauce to the chicken. If they could do this in a tofu or veggie dish that would be my go to. I felt the prices were a little high for small town Saskatchewan but definitely worth it. Check it out if you are in the area.

It was evident to me that the chef takes great pride in their cooking and in the cleanliness of their restaurant. The servers, related to the chef, were also delightfully polite and helpful. Ask them what they recommend. Too bad I'm just passing through town or I'd eat here frequently. Prices are very fair.

First, the setting. What a delightful interior once you get past the rather understated exterior. Comfortable spaces, open, airy, not loud but full of sounds of people enjoying themselves. Second, the service. They are on it, immediately. But you never feel rushed. Instead, you feel welcome and valued. Third, the food. I the relish tray--once a mainstay of Montana steakhouses. But this one has hot, creamy cheese dip. And beets! (Well it is eastern Montana). The steaks? Just one of the top 3 New York strips that I have ever savored. PERFECTLY cooked and so so tender. Unbelievably good. Also loved you can have hashbrowns as a side. And my friend loved the rolls plus the halibut. Drinks? Certainly. A decent wine list. Lots of local brews. And well balanced cocktails. Quality is top notch, the quantity is there. The prices are fair, considering everything. What a place!!

Our table of four had one wrong entre delivered that was sent back. Two wrong drinks delivered. One sent back. The salads were large and really good. Bread was served with way too-sweet butter. For the price the prime rib was a bit thin. My med-rare looked so good but was tough and tasteless, which really surprised me. The calamari/onions tasted good but was rubbery. Was with great company so there was no complaining at the table. We enjoyed the place so I would go back and try something different, maybe on a quieter night. To compare, we had amazing, perfectly cooked tender and delicious prime rib the following night in a small town tavern for much less $$.
