Do not, I repeat, Do not go here. Literally go anywhere else but here…read more Our bus was flooded, and we had to call someone to get it towed. A&R were the only ones we could get a hold of to help us at the time, and they came out when they could do get the bus out. The towing process was smooth, and those two men were very nice and did their job great. Then, everything changed. We followed the bus to the shop, and we headed in to talk to someone, figure out how much we owe and pay the bill. You know, normal things that you would do once you were provided a service. So we go inside the shop, and stand there for a while without anyone saying anything to us. Then someone asks what we need, and we let them know we are the bus people. One woman says "I think they are outside working on stuff still, and they will be inside soon". Then sits down and continues working. We sit there for probably 30-40 minutes without a single person saying anything to us, updating us on anything, or giving us ANY ANSWERS whatsoever. Then, a man comes out from the back. I read his name tag, and it happens to be the same name as the owner. I assume since he owns the business he would probably help us. He sits there staring out the window for a while, and then says "so you're the bus people, huh". We respond, and think ok someone is going to explain something. Then he kind of just sits there and says "yeah, that's what happens." Doesn't really say anything to us whatsoever. We inquire about the bill and his response "I still gotta work that out". So we ask about getting the water drained, and someone to check on the fluids. We ask him if they have time tomorrow to work on this, because it is urgent to get the fluids looked at before the engine is worthless. He assures us he has room for us and tells us he can squeeze us in to look at the bus the next day. He starts typing stuff on the computer, and doing things. We are thinking, oh he's probably trying to crunch the numbers to let us know how much we owe. . . then he helps 2 customers right in front of us, as we continue to wait. It's almost like he didn't want us to know anything, and we had to twist his arm to get any information. We have been sitting in there for about an hour at this point, maybe more. We go outside because we are confused, and want to even see where our bus is. So we go outside and are talking about what the hell is going on. Then the door shuts, and the owner is LOCKING US OUT. Yes, locking the door. So we ask where the bus is, and he says "I think it's across the street". He thinks its across the street? We ask about coming back tomorrow, and he tells us yes, come back tomorrow. This feels like an episode of Punk'd. It's unbelievable. So we are so tired, and sick of this guy we walk across the street, and still can't seem to find our bus. So we have to call him, again. Basically begging for answers at this point since that's difficult to give someone. He tells us the bus is locked behind a gate. Hmm, that's weird considering we never gave consent to that, asked you to do that, were told you were doing that, and have no access to all of our stuff inside. (We live in a converted school bus, and our lives are inside. You would think he would at least tell us this information so we could grab some things before going to our hotel). So he tells us someone can come unlock it. We wait, and nobody comes. So we have to walk back to the shop, and get on the of the people that helped tow us out to unlock the gate. (I am not making this up, this is all real) He unlocks the gate, and we go get some stuff out of the bus that we need. At this point its utterly shocking the way we have been treated, and it doesn't even feel real. So we go back to the hotel. The next morning my bf goes to talk to the owner, and HE IS OUT OF TOWN. The same guy that JUST told us to come back in the morning, and JUST told us that he would help us with the bus, and he had time to look at it. Everyone in the office starts laughing and making jokes about how they thought our bus was going to be dumped, and they didn't know we still wanted it. Literally the most unprofessional thing I have ever heard in my life. So my boyfriend is fed up, and comes back to the hotel to let me know what happens. We end up calling another mechanics shop, because at this point we don't want them near our bus, and we want our stuff away from them. They still don't have a bill for us at this point, which is insanity. So we arrange something with another shop. We have to walk back to the shop a 3rd time and this time we have to demand our bill, and get our bus out. The lady that was there was unsympathetic, didn't seem to care about us at all, and seemed extremely bothered that we even approached her. We tell her that we are not messing around anymore, we need our bill, we need it now, and we want our bus off of their property. Long story short, we had another company tow our bus off their property. CRIMINALS. Do not go.

This has got to be one of the cleanest and perfectly situated gas stations we had ever stopped for…read moreon a road trip! Just off the highway facing a gorgeous lake we were both pleasantly surprised at the care its given in comparison to others we've stopped at. We even took note of the clean gas pumps as well. The employee greeted us kindly and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The small store even smelled nice! I wasn't sure what scent it was but it was pleasant and calming. We didn't need to purchase anything at the time but I certainly wanted to because I appreciated it so much. Being on a long drive you get used to expecting less than stellar accommodations so stumbling upon this gas station was one of the highlights!

After a google search, found a number for the one local auto shop, Charley's. They had an on call number and Jordan answered. Very kind. Very helpful. Gave advice. Came up with a plan for the next morning, when they opened back up. Crawled our way to the KOA just down the street (and happens to be conveniently located across the road from the auto shop...!) Jordan and all staff were incredibly polite, helpful, affordable, and efficient in helping us solve our SOS camper break. We are so appreciative.

Driving cross country from Seattle to NYC our Alfa Romeo Stelvio's low oil warning light comes on…read morein Rapid City, SD. Following our manual instructions for adding oil, the warning light goes off, infotainment shows good level. We drive approx. 1 hour and warning lights come on "excessive" oil!!! It's Sunday, we are 300+ miles from Sioux Falls (nearest authorized Alfa Romeo mechanic). AAA will tow but, only 1 of the 3 of us will be allowed to ride in the tow truck! Unacceptable!! Against all recommendations, we drive an additional 140 miles before we are scared to go on. At the Vivian Eastbound Rest stop, a worker gives us info on Charley's Welding & Auto Repair and their mechanic, Jordan as well as King's Inn that is within walking distance of the repair shop. Jordan answered and said he'll be able to do the oil change on Monday at 9:30 am. Nick, from King's Inn was able to accomodate us for the night. Nick also suggested Henriksen Auto Body Towing 24/7 in Presho. Dave Henriksen, owner, assures us that he'll get someone to tow us asap. In no time at all, Don, tow truck driver, shows up, tows our car, with all 3 of us to Charley's. We were told to leave the car in the yard. We get there and Jordan is at the shop!! Unbelivable!! On a Sunday, on his day off!! On Monday, the car is ready before 10am. Jordan, Don, Dave, & Nick you guys are AMAZING!! We truly appreciate all of you!! Highly recommend 100%. These guys are experts in their fields and their hearts are pure gold!!

Venard Tire & Services performed a small miracle on a recent family vacation for me and if I could…read moregive 10 stars for a rating, this place is well deserving of it. My family was heading east on I-90 from visiting Badlands National Park when the tire pressure warning showed low tire pressure in one of the tires. I pulled off highway and noticed a nail or screw in the tire and knew we had to drive on the donut to get somewhere that could fix the flat. Unfortunately we were 900 miles from home and it was the Sunday before the 4th of July at 3pm in the afternoon so we figured we were going to be taking rural highways to the nearest large city of Sioux Falls in hope of finding some place open on the 4th of July. My wife called two of the closest places we found on Google maps and both had recordings that they were out until after the holidays. To our surprise, Vernard picked up the phone and said that they were closed, but to come on in and he'd take a look. We had to drive about an hour at 50mph on the spare tire and the gentleman not only waited for us, but called to check if we were OK during our hour drive. When we arrived, he had the tire fully repaired within 20 minutes of us arriving and then charged us his standard tire repair rate on a day when his shop was actually closed. We thanked him and gave him more than what he was trying to charge us and we were then on our way. A small 1.5 hour deviation from a family road trip was so worth it and showed myself and my family the importance of being kind humans to each other and served as a reminder to always go out of your way to help others in need.

I first called the refuge police who referred me to two towing companies in Valentine NE. I called the first and got a voicemail so I left a voicemail. I called the second -Tony's Tire and Auto Repair, and was able to get through to somebody who promptly told me that he was working on his day off, and was done for the day and basically told me I would be stranded lakeside for the night 35 miles from civilization!!!!!!!!!!!! I would NOT recommend Tony's Tire and Auto Repair to anybody for the fact their customer service seems to be non existent. If you want somebody to come tow you, call All Wheel Towing in Valentine NE. My husband and I were traveling across country pulling our travel trailer from Illinois with…read moreCalifornia to be our final destination. We had a little mishap with our camper rubbing a curb stop at a gas station. We thought the damage was merely cosmetic. However, a few hours down the road, we had a tire blowout. We called roadside assistance, got the tired exchanged, new tire put on, and back on the road again to our first stop in Sioux Falls, SD. Next morning, we get on the road again, only to blowout the same tire!! At this point, we realized something more was wrong. Luckily for us, we were only a mile east from the exit for a very small town in SD called Kimball. While we were waiting for roadside assistance to arrive, a nice gentleman driving a van that advertised Overweg Repair stopped to see if we needed any assistance. We assured him we had assistance on the way, but thanked him for stopping to check on us. His shirt said his name was Dan. We later discovered he was the owner of Overweg Repair. When we realized that our front axle was most likely bent, we knew our journey could not continue until it was repaired. We limped into a little parking lot-like campground in Kimball called Parkway Campground, and gave Overweg Repair a call. Troy from there came to where we were, took a look at the camper and confirmed we needed a new axle. He went back to shop to see if he had what he needed to replace it. He called within an hour to see if we could come at 8am the next morning to get the work done. We were ecstatic! They did the repairs and had us back on the road before noon!! We couldn't believe it. We were so worried it would take days having to wait for parts to arrive. And the cost was extremely reasonable. Thanks to the team at Overweg, we were able to get back on the road quickly and continue our cross country journey vacation. We are so grateful. We would like to thank Troy, Corinne, and Tanya for all their assistance. They were awesome!
