I was led here for the dry eye specialist Dr. Sheron Marshall and have had good experiences with her- she is serious and smart though I often have a long wait. I recently tried Dr. Pikkula for my glasses and contacts and was really happy with her. She is also really smart about dry eyes and after five years of severe dry eye issues she taught me some things I didn't know and gave me tools to try that finally made a significant difference in my dry eye which ultimately improved my vision! I appreciate her energy (though she talks really really fast!) and appreciated her patience and commitment to figuring this out with me, even over multiple appointments. She didn't give up until things were better enough and I really appreciated that. Her techs have also been wonderful, including Debbie who was very patient with me and my history and details and questions. I appreciate being listened to. Being able to see matters so much and as I get older and things change I'm grateful for people who know what they are doing. I also think this office is beautiful and clean and there is also a nice free fancy coffee machine too. :) I visited the glasses and contacts section the other day and they also seem really smart and knowledgable and committed to helping you find the best price and situation for what your particular needs and insurance are. Overall I've been impressed with almost everyone I've met here!

I was the only one of those who had cataract surgery that morning with a nonstop running eye. The…read moremedical assistant looked askance after my eyes were dilated at the 2nd followup, indicating she'd seen no one experience this. I complained to the doctor that something was wrong - could it be the eyedrops? He indicated there was "rippling of the cornea" with no further explanation. When Googled, the first reason to pop up was "BAK - benzalkonium chloride" which can be a problem for eyes and is found in approximately 70% of all eye medications, prescriptions or OTC, including the dilation drops used. Like an idiot, I allowed him to do the second eye. When my vision didn't improve, I asked to see another doctor in the practice. HIS response? "Come back in 7 months". Instead, I went to another surgeon and retinal consultant who agreed there was a definite reaction, supplying me with non-BAK drugs. The last doctor I spoke to regarding the cataract surgery said "The cell regeneration isn't what we would hope for". I would never recommend this practice, unless you wish to be blinded when two of their doctor refuses to listen.

I met with their optometrist who gave me options for what I was a good candidate for (lasik of PRK for me) and explained each option in detail. I went with Lasik. I scheduled surgery for two weeks from my consult date and although I was really nervous, the staff and surgeons were awesome. They helped me feel comfortable and everything was so quick, like a minute per eye. My follow up appointments have also been quick (in and out in 15 minutes or less) and overall I'm really happy I went with this office!

I was terrified throughout the entire process, but Dr. Lee, Dr. Kaminsky, and Trisha were all exceptional. They eased my fears and answered all my ridiculous questions. The process was very quick, and the recovery was easier than I expected. In the end, I went from 20/450 vision to 20/15, and my only regret (as everyone says) is that I didn't do this years ago. All the staff was helpful and professional and made everything very clear. Dr Cutarelli was kind and professional and Dr Jackson has a great manner that disarms you, especially if you're nervous! This is new for the kiddos because they were use to Dr. Bancroft. He's no longer here. So they are willing to give Dr. Mena a chance. We waited about 5 mins for Dr. Mena to come in. He was nice, laid back and friendly. He was very informative and funny. He was so great with the Kerri and that was awesome to see. She is usually a little anxious when it comes to the initial exam. He was so kind and soft spoken with her and she did very well. Next it was Izzy turn and he was just excited to get on the chair. He is growing up and was so mature about his experience. I really love that for him that he is not anxious anymore when he gets in the chair. Dr. Men's was so patient with him and treated him respectfully and maturely.. Finally it was Wyatt's turn and he was super excited to be here Laugh Out Loud . He getting so big and stated that he's a big boy and he's not afraid of the machine anymore. So he did great. He was all smile and just joking around with Dr. Mena. I was so proud of Wyatt's braveness and calmness. The over all experience was incredible. We will be back and De. We were finally taken back 15 minutes later and another tech did 1 thing and we were told wait again in a room for another 10 minutes. She played a video for us that turned off 2 minutes after she left. Over an hour for a kids appointment is not acceptable. I will be finding a new office for all my kids. Because of this, I had to return to the clinic for treatment. This was already my third visit related to the same issue. I was then asked to pay another $50. When I asked why, I was told that the $50 was the amount charged by my insurance company. I understand that insurance may require a copay, but I am disappointed that I had to pay another copay for a return visit caused by the treatment not staying in place. I hope the clinic will review situations like this more carefully and consider the patient experience, especially when a patient has to return because of an issue immediately following a treatment. I am sharing my experience so other patients can be aware and ask questions about their insurance charges before receiving treatment.
