I was led here for the dry eye specialist Dr. Sheron Marshall and have had good experiences with her- she is serious and smart though I often have a long wait. I recently tried Dr. Pikkula for my glasses and contacts and was really happy with her. She is also really smart about dry eyes and after five years of severe dry eye issues she taught me some things I didn't know and gave me tools to try that finally made a significant difference in my dry eye which ultimately improved my vision! I appreciate her energy (though she talks really really fast!) and appreciated her patience and commitment to figuring this out with me, even over multiple appointments. She didn't give up until things were better enough and I really appreciated that. Her techs have also been wonderful, including Debbie who was very patient with me and my history and details and questions. I appreciate being listened to. Being able to see matters so much and as I get older and things change I'm grateful for people who know what they are doing. I also think this office is beautiful and clean and there is also a nice free fancy coffee machine too. :) I visited the glasses and contacts section the other day and they also seem really smart and knowledgable and committed to helping you find the best price and situation for what your particular needs and insurance are. Overall I've been impressed with almost everyone I've met here!

The navigation on their website won't allow me to actually book/make an appointment, even thought the outgoing message directs me to the page. I send a comment to their web portal.... still no response. I don't know how they stay in business. Very sad. Good luck to anyone who actually needs their attention.

When I called back to try to make another appointment I was told the earliest I could be seen was June unless I was willing to drive 35 miles from my house at 7 o'clock in the morning on the worst road in town, Powers Boulevard, which is only exceeded by the awfulness of Academy Boulevard. To get up to their northern Office means driving up the most crowded, most heavily used road in town with a million lights that will take you forever to get to their office. Most people I know will do anything to avoid Powers Boulevard. Being asked to drive up there from the south end all the way up to the northernmost end is a very unattractive prospect. I have been working with the union office from the beginning and to expect an elderly woman to drive that far away from her house is ridiculous. It's also ridiculous that you have 27 doctors but can't find me an appointment sooner than June 19? That is absolutely absurd. I made it very clear I need new glasses right away. in other complaints, every time I was referred to their surgical department for reattaching my eyeballs I was never contacted. I have nothing but negative things to say about most of my experiences. The first couple of years I loved my doctors but they both vanished and then I was given somebody really obnoxious and really rude and I told them I wouldn't use him again and then they assigned me at random to somebody else whoever evidently has no appointments. Since I don't know any of the doctors because they are constantly leaving and being replaced, I don't even have an interest in continuing to use this practice. Even the union Boulevard practice is a 30 minute drive and it is totally not worth it for people who do not appreciate longtime customers and try to tell them that the first appointment they are ever going to get is the middle of June unless they agree to have somebody drive them up for 7 o'clock in the morning to a location 40 miles from their house on a road every bit as crowded as trying to get to Denver. If I wanted an eye doctor in Denver I would get one. That's absolutely ridiculous. When I was offered the June date I just said that's ridiculous never mind I'm changing doctors and hung up and now I'll be going to the Wright Eye Center which I went to for years. They are optometrists but they do a very good job of watching for all the medical problems. They are every bit as good as an ophthalmologist unless you need some kind of complex retina reattachment or something. There's also a lovely new large eye practice right up the road from me that I will go to if I decide I need ophthalmological advice. They don't expect you to wait six months for an appointment and they don't treat you like garbage -- I did call them to inquire. Eye Associates has gotten too big for their britches and it's like dealing with the hospital when you talk to them on the phone. Very cold, very quick to try to get rid of you, like operators in the old days with way too many calls and not enough hands. I really couldn't say if the doctors know what they're doing because all of the doctors I like are gone. Hmmm. If you want to get an appointment in under several months and you don't live right on the corner of Powers and Old Ranch Road, I highly recommend you find another practice because they have no appointments at union and they're shoving pearl pass View down your throat. I don't understand why half the doctors in town are adding second offices up there when the only people who live there are other doctors. Most of us live with the regular humans and it's a very long drive to those locations for almost all of us.
