I have insurance, and will still use both options for different reasons. Dr. Mallory came highly recommended to me by a physician/surgeon a few years back. Over 20 years ago my primary care doctor diagnosed me as stage 3 to 4 chronic kidney disease. This was based on yearly bloodwork alone, even with lab work (urine) showing normal functioning of the kidneys. When I became a patient under Dr Mallory, he ordered a more comprehensive blood test and actually explained the numbers AND why simple blood test numbers and "markers" can be misleading! These results were added to my chart and when my required yearly physical and bloodwork came back, my primary care physician said: "Dr. Mallory knows what he is talking about, and I agree with his findings of the past bloodwork. Just follow his advice. " Dr. Mallory has also helped me with a lifestyle protocol (no sugar, low carb and TRT) that has also improved my health dramatically! The office staff however, is another story. They refuse to do simple things like following up with insurance to get prior authorizations for medications they prescribed. I have one medication that was prescribed 2 months ago that they still haven't submitted the paperwork for. When I called to tell them that insurance still hadn't received the paperwork, and to ask that they send a new prescription to the pharmacy so I could buy it out of pocket (because I actually need the meds...) they intentionally hung up on me. Several weeks later, they sent me a letter in the mail saying they are dropping me as a patient. I guess they only take patients that don't require paperwork. I recognize that those of us with chronic illnesses are more work, but that doesn't mean we deserve to be dropped just because some of our medications require prior authorizations. Also, if you're considering David Ottolenghi (the other doctor at the practice) beware, he doesn't believe in vaccines... I sure wouldn't want a doctor who trusts politicians over science.

Hi! I had my Cataract Surgeries back to back on October 14th & October 15th, 2026. So many…read morewonderful professionals took exceptional care of me! First off my wife (same sex partner) and I loved the check in process with Patty, we were able to work in a brief conversation about dogs, nice relaxing way to start the process. Next up Rachel an EMT took me back to the prep area for surgery. It was amazing how efficient and pain free she made the insertion of my IV. I didn't even feel one prick, nada, nothing and it was done in my right wrist. Rachel made me feel safe and well cared for while we had a pleasant conversation which eased my anxiety. Jessica was friendly and engaging too and she got my many required drops into my right eye. Next I met Susie an RN who was sweet exuding great energy and a very good listener and she had on the cutest Halloween nursing cap. Susie was with me at the top of my head on day two of surgery when I was anxious as I had not yet gotten the anesthesia. The day before ~Foley~ gave me an early & little amount of anesthesia so I didn't have to experience any of the pre surgery operation room anxiety like I did on day 2. Unfortunately on day two I didn't do very well on the anesthesia. When I woke up I felt very heavy weight wise, a heavy feeling and extremely nauseous. Not sure if it was a different combo of anesthesia or if I may have gotten too much. But Kristin took care of me by giving me an anti nausea or maybe anti anxiety drug but it was one I had gotten bad results from when I was a cancer patient for 5 years for Cutaneous Lymphoma. Zoloft. Ugh. I asked for Phenergan in my IV but my wife said Kristin wasn't able to offer me anything else for the nausea. That needs to change. I knew what drugs would not help me and which one in particular worked the best for me : Phenergan. We only live 11 minutes from the surgery center so after a short time trying to dissipate the nausea we went home and I inserted a Phenergan suppository at home and started feeling better after I slept a couple hours and woke up but a heaviness lingered a while longer.. All in all everyone worked hard to care for me on both days. I'm wondering if I could find out what combination of drugs or singular anesthesia drugs I took on day 2 that made me so sick so I can avoid them in the future. Since I was a cancer patient for 5 years and had a life saving stem cell transplant at the UC hospital in Aurora 6.2011 I knew what drugs my body rejects and which ones work but I'm not sure I wrote that on the intake forms. Most of my adult life under anesthesia for many colonoscopies and once for hand surgery I've felt good upon waking up w no nausea except when I was 18 and had my wisdom teeth out. Kudos though to all who took care of me, everyone was giving their best energy. Oh and Morgan I really enjoyed talking to in the prep area on day 2 too! Last but not least Dr. Cullen Ryburn was available for questions pre surgery both days and he apparently did an amazing job as at my first appointment with my optometrist one day later my long vision was already 20/20. So grateful! for healthcare professionals who regularly work long hard hours yet always find ways to give wonderful care & comfort to their patient's.

I saw the medical assistant longer than I saw Cundiff and Cundiff didn't even bother to look at my throat or at my sinuses despite me saying my throat and sinuses hurt. This was a Friday and I was initially told that they'd call in a script for me, something I've taken before, because it should help the breathing trouble I was having. But, without notifying me, they changed that to an inhaler that my insurance didn't want to cover (and eventually 2 weeks later, they fully denied coverage of it). I had to call the on-call doctor, who was apparently in Arizona, to ask for what I was originally told they'd write a script for. I found out later that this on-call doctor, who I obviously was not examined by, "diagnosed" me with COPD. COPD has never been brought up by any doctor I've ever seen and, despite me telling Village Medical to remove this false diagnosis from my records, it's still there. The medication did not fix my breathing issues. The medical records they have show me taking that inhaler despite never even being able to pick it up. The level of communication with Cundiff, the clinic staff, and the regional management has been ridiculous. I would never recommend people going here. I picked Village Medical because they were supposed to be really queer and transgender friendly but they are not. The issues I had with being misgendered and the lack of compassionate care should really make anyone reconsider coming to any Village Medical center.

From the first time he came to meet our daughter in the hospital, we have only had positive interactions. We have been fortunate to not have many sick visits for our daughter, but the few we have went smoothly. We were so happy with our experiences at Med Peds for our daughter that my wife and I both now have doctors there as our primary care physicians. All the doctors there are (as of now) board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. I see Dr. Capes and my wife sees Dr. Lang, and we are both very happy with them as our doctors. Dr. Capes takes time to listen to everything I have to say, and clearly takes time to familiarize himself with my history each time I visit. He is also compassionate, and very personable. On another note, I've been very pleased with the office logistics. I've never had a billing problem, and most importantly - I can't remember a long wait. The patient load they take is well managed. The waiting room is never full, and once taken back into a room I don't think I've had to wait more than 10-15 minutes. These are the best group of doctors I've used, and they've earned my trust and future care.
