Almost every single DIY related product that you can imagine is stocked here. On top of this, the staff are always friendly and keen to please. On a rare occasion that I was not able to find the product that I required, an extremely friendly man called Alun went and checked in the stock room; lo and behold, the product was there, hidden underneath some old Christmas trees. The parking is ample, even on the weekends. A word of warning, Caernarfon road can get busy especially at weekends.

As you enter, you're faced with seasonal specials - such as Christmas decorations at the moment, or one-off special offers. Then there's a staircase upwards and one downwards. Upstairs is the real hardware - the tools of all kinds, car accessories, arts and crafts supplies, and pet accessories, which include a huge array of dog foods, treats, toys, bedding, medicines and an assortment of other pets' accessories, such as cat food and toys and even bird cages. Downstairs is the household section, with a wide range of kitchen accessories and other homeware items, such as lamps, cushions, mirrors, and so on. Also on this floor is a door leading downstairs again to the painting and decorating area of the shop. Here there is every type of paint and varnish in a wide range of sizes. There isn't any wallpaper but still a very good selection of home interior design products.

For some people they may have gone a little overboard on the decoration though. The coffee shop's menu is fairly comprehensive, they serve a cracking cup of coffee, and the range of cakes is impressive. The owner is friendly and enthusiastic, and gave us some great recommendations of other places to visit on Anglesey. The gift shop at the front of the store is like a tourist gold mine, again very tightly packed with a whole plethora of goods. Cards, themed goods, items of clothing, childrens toys, jewellery and ornaments. Mostly of the highest quality, however, on the whole, a little pricey. Definitely targeted at the steady stream of tourists that are attracted to Moelfre though.

I have eaten here in the past, and it has always been average and today was no exception, it ranged from poor to average to tasty. I had a panini which was well over done and had almost no filling, my partner had a chicken kebab, quite tasty but was very small. The good bit is always the cakes and puddings, this time we went for a sponge cake and it was lovely. So next time I come I'll be sticking with cake and coffee. I'm not sure if it was expensive, I didn't pay, I'm sure it was.

I tend to use Pets At Home mainly to buy tropical fish along with the food, water treatments, etc…read morethat go with them. For convenience I usually go to the Llandudno branch which is much closer to home but given the choice I prefer the Bangor branch. They usually have a larger tropical fish section than Llandudno and the staff there usually appear more knowledgeable. The only problem is that if there are roadworks on the A55, as there often are, then it might not be possible to get home before the fish die.

There is a huge range here from the cheap stuff that I won't give our cats, right up to Applaws and Hilife which have really high meat contents. I am always tempted by the range of scratching posts, beds and toys for cats but ours have more stuff than they are ever going to need. There is of course loads of products for dogs, fish, rabbits, hamsters etc. We also get wild bird and hedgehog food at Pets At Home.
