For a while I mistook this cheese shop as part of a big, impersonal chain. To think of the number of months that I deprived myself makes me shudder!
Not only is the small shop packed to the brim with glorious cheeses of all varieties (my favorite right now is a smoky Basque brebis that I've used in salads, sandwiches and in a fantastic vegetarian meatball dish that I've been rocking lately) they also have a stellar selection of dairy items.
From Ribot lait fermenté and homemade crème fraiche to tart, smooth yogurt and a range of glass-jarred desserts that makes a fabulous finish to a dinner party since you can propose a different flavor for each guest (the panna cotta and rice pudding with salted caramel sauce are divine), this place has all of your dairy cravings covered.
