Hands down the best fries place in Aachen. They have the most delicious sauces ever and it's pretty affordable . Moreover, the cozy interior gives this place a big bonus. If you're ever in Aachen, pass by Fritten Werk. read more

Straight outta Canada, direkt nach Aachen: Im Frittenwerk gibt's kanadische Pommesspezialitäten, wie du sie nur aus deinen feuchten Träumen kennst. Wir haben uns vom Imbissklassiker "Poutine" (heißt in etwa "Sauerei") inspirieren lassen und Fritten von der Beilage zur Hauptspeise befördert. Erlebe aufregende Pommeskreationen, hausgemachte Saucen und spannende Toppings in einer grünen, umweltbewussten und entspannten Atmosphäre. Ein Großteil unserer Speisen ist vergetarisch und über 50 % sogar vegan, wie z.B. unsere Pink Persia Poutine. Willkommen im Frittenwerk und guten Appetit!

History

Established in 2016.

Manche träumen vom Haus am Strand, andere von einer Weltreise auf See. Wir haben schon immer von der eigenen Pommesbude geträumt. Mit Pommes so dick, dass man sie nur "Fritten" nennen kann, und kreativen Toppings, auf die jede einzelne Kartoffel stolz sein darf. Ende 2014 ging in Düsseldorf-Bilk unsere erste Portion Fritten über die Theke, heute sind wir in ganz Deutschland zu Hause. Damals wie heute packen bei jeder Neueröffnung viele Freunde und Familie mit an. Die Speisekarte ist inspiriert von den Straßen Québecs und dem kanadischen Nationalgericht "Poutine". Statt Fritten als Beilage zu servieren, machen wir sie zur himmlischen Hauptspeise. In jeder Schale stecken sorgsam ausgewählte Zutaten und ehrliches Handwerk, vor allen Dingen aber eines: eine riesige Portion Frittenliebe.

I love it all but one of my all time favorites is currywurst. I've had it in a number of German cities: Cologne, Hamburg, Munich, etc. You won't get it any better than the Curry-Palast in Aachen. Always crowded. If you can't wait, get a serving mit pommes frittes dabei and eat it outside in the street. That's what I did last time I was there. They combine the wurst with a great sauce and onions and french fries. It's a savory treat you shouldn't miss. Trust me on this one. Okay, if you're in Aachen go get some Aachener Printen someplace and break your teeth on it but then go, go, go to Curry-Palast.
